Program Details
We are a small international community living together in Spain around shared values of responsibility, cooperation, health, and intentional living. Alongside the community itself, we host students through the Nexus Puritas Academy, an educational project focused on health, psychology, nervous system regulation, and integrative education.
Volunteers become part of an active and meaningful environment surrounded by nature, movement, creativity, and practical projects. During their stay, they can gain hands-on experience with organic gardening, DIY projects, caring for rescued animals, and the rhythm of community living. There is also time to enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi, discover beautiful historical places nearby, and experience a slower and more grounded Mediterranean lifestyle.
We value people who are respectful, reliable, adaptable, and genuinely willing to contribute positively to the atmosphere and functioning of the home.
Activities & Shift
This position is focused on practical support and helping maintain the smooth functioning of the community and Nexus Puritas Academy environment.
Tasks may include:
– gardening and outdoor work
– caring for rescued animals
– cooking and cleaning
– DIY and maintenance projects
– helping maintain clean, organised, and respectful shared spaces
Working hours are generally organised from 8:30–12:00 and 17:30–19:00, with some flexibility depending on the needs of the house and projects. Outside of these hours, we simply expect respect toward the shared living environment and the people around you.
Weekends are free, apart from minimal shared household responsibilities that help maintain the functioning of the home.
Because we host students and educational activities throughout the year, it is especially important for volunteers to contribute to a calm, reliable, and low-drama atmosphere that supports the focus and experience of the students.
Community life also requires flexibility, consideration for others, and a willingness to contribute consistently to the shared environment.
To help the weekly rhythm flow smoothly, we ask volunteers to arrive on Sundays so they can integrate naturally into the new week starting on Monday. 🌱
Rules
Our home is based on respect, responsibility, and healthy living. We maintain a vegetarian/mostly vegan environment and do not allow drugs, smoking, alcohol consumption, violence, or disrespectful behaviour. 🌿
We expect all volunteers to:
– communicate honestly and respectfully
– participate actively in daily responsibilities
– contribute reliably to shared tasks
– maintain clean and harmonious shared spaces
– avoid unnecessary drama, gossip, conflict, or disruptive behaviour
– respect the students, residents, animals, and rhythm of the community
This experience is best suited for people who genuinely enjoy meaningful work, shared responsibility, nature, and intentional community living. We value maturity, cooperation, emotional responsibility, and people who want to contribute positively to the environment around them while growing through the experience themselves. ✨
