The Experience

We are looking for volunteers to live an authentic experience at our refuge, a nature-filled space where rescued animals coexist and where we develop projects for sustainable living, permaculture, and bioconstruction. It is an ideal place for those who want to learn, help, and connect deeply with rural life.

A really wonderful experience overall! The hosts are incredibly caring and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The sleeping space is a cozy caravan tucked along the side of the mountain- peaceful, private, and serene. There's an outdoor toilet and shower but we were able to use the indoor bathroom as well. Food is all fresh and nourishing! We enjoyed cooking together and sharing meals- especially outside over the terrace with panoramic views! The animals are all lovely! They are extremely well cared for and loved at the project. Highly recommend!

I will start by saying this was one of the best travel experiences I have ever immersed myself in. Bea and Pau made us feel like part of the family while also teaching us new skills and immersing us in an extraordinary environment for 6 days. The animals were wonderful and the worst part was leaving them. Each night we talked for hours and ate delicious local dishes. Couldn't ask for a better working partner than Pau, who was thoughtful, Worldly and truly a wonderful human being. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Sending love to Boo!

The project is a wonderful place where you can connect with animals, nature and humanity. Beatriz is a very kind, warm woman, always with good energy and well-disposed. It was a very lovely experience that taught me a lot and, above all, friends.

Beatriz is very kind and flexible. The animals are cute, but there is also a lot of maintenance work that helps Beatriz a lot, as she lives alone. The caravans are comfortable, especially when it isn’t summer. Shooting stars by the dozen! πŸ’«πŸ’«

Fantastic experience, an incredible place full of magic and simplicity, where the most important thing is to live in contact with nature and with yourself, it's a little corner of the world that is a world unto itself.
Beatriz has always been very kind, from the way she welcomed me to the delicious meals, to the magnificent sunset and to stargazing without light pollution.
A truly inspirational project with 22 rescued animals under Beatriz's care, each with its own story, yet immensely happy and grateful.
A big thank you to Beatriz for this unforgettable experience!
