Overall it was fairly good, only that you have to agree on the hours and tasks well in advance in order to be able to organize yourself and get to know people. Since there are some tasks that are assigned at 7:00am on the same day, if you pull an all-nighter and don't wake up early it's hard to do them; ideally communicate and have the tasks assigned to you ahead of time.

Thank you for your comment, Yormaira. Regarding the task assigned at 7:00 a.m., it was to remind them to do it; it wasn't necessarily that specific day. That day, I, Paulina, who assigned the tasks, was off, so I handed the information over to my coworker who was on shift.
There was a communication error.

The experience has positive aspects, but there are points to consider. The room is shared with guests, so noises and lights in the early morning can affect rest. I recommend discussing and organizing the schedules weekly, since we had some coordination issues. If you travel as a couple, keep in mind that the schedules are separate, which can make organization difficult. We also asked about the free excursions and bicycles advertised, but they told us they were not available. People are friendly; you can cook and do laundry without any trouble.

Second time at Ají Hostel and I felt warmly welcomed. From Pauli♡, who is always attentive and ready to listen, to the volunteer colleagues. Although the hostel is already beautiful, the location is so central that you can plan any outing to enjoy and take advantage of it 💚, and they fit your schedules so well and everything is negotiable 🤍 I love it and hope to return soon; it will be my favorite place to rest in Chile ❤️‍🩹

I met wonderful and very attentive people who made me feel very comfortable; I learned a lot about different matters and I saw very beautiful landscapes. The location is quite central, so there is a lot of commerce, services, museums, etc. Very close.

Overall I really enjoyed the stay; I was there for almost 2 months at the hostel and I met a lot of nice people, including the stand. The place is comfortable and welcoming, with a good view and spaces to rest and relax. The only bad thing is that the owner's son works there and every time his 'turn' comes he takes over the common areas and brings his friends to drink and listen to music, sometimes kicking volunteers out of their rest or sharing on days off in the common room where he wants to be. Other than that, everything is excellent.
