Annupuri Mountain View & Oasis Lodge

Our lodges are located in the beautiful Niseko area, surrounded by nature and famous for its onsen, mountains, and outdoor activities. It’s a great place to experience authentic local life while meeting international guests and a small friendly team. Volunteers enjoy a cozy private room and the chance to explore Hokkaido at a slower, more personal pace.

We’re an international team passionate about Japan and cultural exchange. We like to keep a relaxed, respectful, and positive atmosphere — communication and teamwork matter to us. Volunteers are treated as part of the team, with fair schedules, flexibility when needed, and plenty of advice to help them discover the best of the region.

I have done about 10 Worldpackers experiences and this one was the BEST. Vincent and Claire (<3) manage the two lodges you will be working in. Tasks are simple and EVERYTHING is written down in case you need to refer back to it. Questions are answered clearly. Sleep situations are the best I've experienced (private room tbd on availability). They do normal grocery runs so that you can stock up on food. Work times were the most respected here than anywhere I've volunteered. I'm sad I can't stay for winter and I'll be telling my friends to stay here anytime they go to Niseko. Thank you! ❤️

The cleaning standard is very high, which makes the place very clean and you learn new cleaning skills, which for me was fantastic; Vicent and Clare are very good hosts and they help you with everything they can. The hours are respected, the schedules are flexible, and they also give you a private room. Without a doubt I would return.

I really enjoyed exploring the surroundings of the lodges. The guest house is a place where nature reigns. This late summer with Vincent and Claire was very positive. I felt at ease and integrated. I was able to use buses, including free ones offered by the city. But I would still recommend having a driver's license to facilitate getting around. The on-site work was as described; as for the hours, we can only better respect them. I was even able to finish ahead of schedule. Thanks for everything!

We invested a lot of energy during this volunteering, with a heavy workload: managing two lodges on some days, overtime to complete the tasks requested, a room left clean at our departure. We gave our best to our commitment. Despite this, at first our difficulties were not taken seriously, and then a second time we were told there was no \"time nor energy\" to discuss them further. The final assessment only notes the negative points. We recommend clarifying expectations and follow-up from the start.

Thank you for your review, Naoual. I can't say I'm surprised — it reflects the dynamic we experienced throughout your stay. I communicated, listened, and provided detailed feedback, yet clearly without success. I would have loved to address each point here, but the character limit — and frankly, past experience — suggests it wouldn't change much. I hope your next experience brings more satisfaction. Wishing you well.

My experiences were wonderful. Initially, it took some getting used to given my age and adaptability, but thanks to the patience of Vincent and Claire, as well as the Worldpackers who had already been working there longer, it was actually quite easy.
The tasks were fairly easy and simple. They also didn't take long. In addition, it was nice to work together with other people. What surprised me is that we could use the amazing kitchen, that there was an ice machine, and that a car was available which we could use to do groceries or visit the local onsen....but no free drinks or events.
