This was my first world packer's experience, and it was a wonderful one. Sean was an amazing, kind-hearted, and generous host. The island was breathtakingly beautiful and serene. Whenever the weather was good, Sean would allow me to leave early and go check out the island and all its sites either by walking or by bikes available at the lodge. He would also give me a ride back into the village if I ever needed anything or whenever I needed to go to the pier to take the ferry to Galway City. I would highly recommend this place for any volunteer.

The island and the lodge are also a nice place! Sean is a respectful and very committed gentleman. However, he did not meet the expectations of what was agreed upon! maybe because he was focused on another project! I ended up working long hours and most of the time I did everything myself! The work itself is not difficult, but it becomes tiring and heavy when not done as a team! That's why there should be a scale of activities so that volunteers can take turns and help each other! Above all, I'm grateful for the opportunity and it made me learn a lot about valuing my work and knowing my limits

Thank you Yohanna for your assistance for the past month. I am sorry that you had to leave a little bit early. We had a few busy days - however the amount of work for the three of us was not huge. You decided on your workload and did not ask for assistance. There was a breakdown of communication and I am sorry for this. .You were working with another person and the workload was to be shared. Your health is very important and taking care of that is the right thing to do. Best wishes.. Seán.

I spent two months at the Lodge, it was an amazing experience. Sean, the host, is a really welcoming, fair and goodhearted person. The place where the Lodge is, in my opinion, is the most beautiful spot on Inishmore. The work was pleasant (because involves so many people from all over the world), fair and not too hard. I had plenty of free time for visiting every corner of this beautiful island, meeting local people and enjoying the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the village and its pubs. I highly recommend this place and this host!

I had never volunteered before and my first time was at Aran Walkers Lodge and it couldn't have been better. The place is very peaceful and welcoming. There is beautiful scenery everywhere you look. The tasks at the hostel are simple. The host is very friendly and always helped me in any way he could, he makes you feel at home. I was lucky enough to meet wonderful people during my stay. I highly recommend this place.
