Arch Dormitorio Cenang
We are a new hostel trying to venture into a new market. We started with a hotel in 2019 and it has been ups and down with the pandemic hitting the world. After the pandemic, number of hostel in Langkawi started to declined and we saw it as an opportunity. Now we are looking for and experienced traveler who has been travelling to share the knowledge with us and vice versa.
Our place is own by Malaysian and we are happy to share all our knowledge in in regards to Malaysian diversify race, cultural, religion, flora fauna, and destination of interest for traveller especially backpackers who plan to spend time exploring Malaysia. We are also happy share all our know managing a hostel or hotel based on our experience to those who are interested. We will be offering place to sleep, breakfast and some locals Langkawian perks and benefit (discount on activities or tours etc) to all volunteer staying with us.

Overall this is an easy gig. You teach yoga one hour a day, I would wake up about 45 minutes early to clear the space and set up & I'd sweep, mop, and put everything together when finished. The hours on the job description are longer than described & I had to ask for some additional training so I could help the other volunteers. The manager is easy going & the place would be perfect once they fix the water and internet issues (not stable/consistent). They won't be doing yoga again, I'm told, so the manager seemed super hands off & just let me do my thing. I extended a week bec it is nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Arch Dormitorio. Juan was a nice host, the tasks were easy to follow and we had a list of things to do for each shift. Overall, we definitely recommend this experience to anyone that wants to spend sometime in Langkawi! :)

Our time at the hostel was great! The work is really easy and mostly consists of cleaning and check ins/ check outs. The schedule is clear as well as the tasks. Would happily come back!

I enjoyed my time at the hostel. It’s a place where you can rest and chill a lot. Tasks were really easy and understandable. I can totally recommend going there ;)
