Beautiful Home Surrounded by a Mini Forest

My home is located in the East Bay area of San Francisco. The weather is temperate and mild all year long. It's in a suburban area that feels almost rural -the house is surrounded by mature oak, laurel and magnolia trees on a huge lot, and there is a creek running just below the property. You might occasionally spy deer or an occasional wild turkey will passing through.
But it's only a 15 minute drive to north Berkeley, where there's a world-class university. It's a 20 minute drive into Oakland -a very diverse city with lots of great restaurants - from little ethnic spots to even a Michelin starred pace. And a half hour or so drive into San Francisco - a very cosmopolitan city. No car? There's also a good public transportation system (BART) going to all of those places -and I can drop you off at a station not too far away. It's a 45-60 minute drive to two different renown wine areas- Napa and Sonoma. There's a state regional park only a half mile away, if you like to hike. My neighborhood is very quiet and secluded, but only a 10 minute drive away from shopping areas with everything you'd need.

I am a youngish senior citizen who lives alone. I love to cook and bake - and I'm really good at both. I live a pretty quiet life - read a lot and watch movies at night.

This is a great place the home nature. Gisele's cooking is great, and she was prepared to receive me, she was flexible with my plans changing.

Gisele replied

Veronica is very high energy, friendly and outgoing. She takes initiative - sometimes jumping in once or twice before she had all the info she needed. So it's best to communicate fully what's needed in advance.

Unfortunately, after a week and a day or two of a 2 and a half week scheduled stay, I was informed that she had to leave to take care of some business in her country. We still got a lot done. I would have liked to know that in advance, and would have liked to get a bit more, but it was all right. We got the things I felt were most important done. And unfortunately, more for her than me, we didn't have the chance to get out in the greater Bay Area, and do more things in that second week, as I had hoped.

Gisele is a great cook, I ate very well when I was there; she only eats two meals a day, though, so if you need more definitely pick something up at the store. I walked around Berkeley on my own one day and we did get to ride the ferry to San Francisco, which was fun! Do some research about places you might want to go in Berkeley/San Francisco before you go because Gisele is pretty willing to drop you off somewhere for you to explore, if you want. I had lots of downtime on this job so if you're looking for a quiet, disconnected experience/environment, this would be perfect for you.
