We moved to France about 20 months ago, taking on a property that had been empty for four years . We have a lovely period property and although all the majority of reparation is done we still need people to help with projects and ongoing maintenance. Our current projects are building an arena for the horses. Cutting tracks through the woods and reclaiming fields from fast growing weeds and trees. You will need to have experience with a brush cutter and chainsaw and be able to work unsupervised. Couples preferred. First available dates are from September 2023
Hello we are Ritchie and Karen. We breed black Arabian horses as a business. We are a laid back couple from the UK and our volunteers can either help us as part of a project or autonomously on various othertasks. We supply accommodation, breakfast and dinner in return for 5 hours help per day. Couples preferred.

We stayed at the beautiful Bidallon for about 6 weeks and we had a wonderful stay there. Karen and Ritchie made us feel really at home, and we loved our gîte. Everyday was different at Bidallon we loved the interaction with al the lovely animals and al the different jobs everyday. After every hard day of working there was a great meal cooked for us, and we had a great chat with Karen and Richie, they made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this stay if you wanna enjoy beautiful south of France and some great mountain views.

We stayed at the beautiful Bidallon for about 6 weeks, and we had a wonderful stay there. Karen and Ritchie made us feel really at home, and we loved our gîte. Every day was different at Bidallon we loved the interaction with all the lovely animals and all the different jobs every day. After every hard day of working there was a great meal cooked for us, and we had a great chat with Karen and Richie, they made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this stay if you want to enjoy the beautiful south of France and some great mountain views.

It was the first experience for me. I had a great time with Ritchie and Karen, they are two great and welcoming people. They want to learn and know how to surprise you with simplicity every day. I didn't speak much in English, my obstacle, but I learned to listen to them and even though I didn't understand sometimes, I trained my ear. I hope I have left him something good anyway. Surrounded by nature, simple things, peace and relaxation. Bidallon is beautiful. Helping them was a real pleasure
