Brynawel, our guest house in Aberystwyth, offers a stay near the sea. Come to exchange cultures, meet travellers, and experience authentic Welsh life across two unique places.

Voluntariar em the host para mim é sempre muito bom, já considero Brynawel como um lar. A autonomia que temos em poder administrar as atividades junto com os demais voluntários para mim é super gratificante e dessa vez eu vim com meu noivo, o que foi maravilhoso pois trabalhamos juntos. Como dessa vez vim no verão, Bill e Louise estavam mais ocupados com outras atividades e interagimos menos com eles (senti falta), mas por outro lado, o clima estava ótimo e pudemos curtir a praia e os festivais gratuitos que a cidade oferece.

BrynAwel's a guesthouse, 2 mins walk from the host beach. Toad Hall's a hostel in Machynlleth, 1hr away by bus. Volunteers work in the host, cleaning the rooms after 11am checkout (no reception involved, all self-check ins). Bill the owner, mostly does Toad Hall but will sometimes ask a volunteer to come over if he's not available (not always with much notice, but will cover travel expense). Food is weekly cash. Come with a very open and relaxed mind, with no expectations and go with the flow. The work is light and simple, with enough hands. the host is a great town.

I had a really brilliant time in the host. Working at Brynawel taught me lots of new things; I really pushed myself and discovered a side to myself that I'd never expected. Will and Lou are two really kind, funny, and friendly people who welcome everyone with open arms. They create an environment where you feel safe and welcome. The work was also really fun, especially as you're usually with other volunteers and get to meet new people. The town is in a really lovely location and, alongside work, you also have plenty of time to yourself. It really was an unforgettable time! <3

My experience was good, Louise and William are really kind and respectful people and I definitely recommend voulnteering at thier place . the host is really beautiful town
