Camp Hill Farm

Here at Camphill Farm we are surrounded by wildlife and trees, plenty of sun, open starry night skies. It’s easy to be here, relax or go for long walks.
With flexible hours each day, a lovely private motor home to sleep in and a chance to have a camp fire. We may even have a trip to a wild spot on a day off, if you need a ride somewhere or shopping I will help you.

I am a on call worker and odd hours too so very flexible up here.
I am really inspired when there are enthusiastic folk around doing things which improve the clarity of our extensive gardens and landscape

I really enjoyed my time with Ann at Camp Hill. From the start, she helped me with information on how to get there. The campervan accommodation is perfect, it is cozy and private. The property is surrounded by beautiful and tranquil nature. I also really enjoyed the tasks Ann gave me and she was always patient with instructions. The food was delicious and nourishing, and I truly enjoyed my conversations with Ann as well. Wishing you all the best!

I had a wonderful time working at Ann's eco project. She is kind, loving, and patient. We shared meals, leading to interesting conversations. The work is mainly outdoors which I liked a lot. Tasks included planting, mulching, and weeding. I had no gardening experience, but Ann has a lot of patience explaining.
The van I was staying in was cozy and comfortable.
Ann is also very generous and made sure I had a great time in Tasmania. She always drove me to the bus stop for Hobart and to the start of a hiking trail. I highly recommend this experience.

Staying at Ann's was a real delightful experience! The van where I got to sleep is super cosy, the property is huge and in large parts wild with beautiful plants and cute pademelons. There are plenty of things to get done around the property, Ann and I got a lot done and I learnt quite a few new things!

Ann was lovely to be around. She was very patient with me as I didn't have any experience planting trees. She's very reassuring, that everyone is learning all the time and is happily complimenting your work. Loved that!

Since you're the only backpacker here, it can be quit calm and quiet, but I didn't mind that at all. I loved reading or watching some series in 'my' little campervan. It was nice sharing meals with her. Ann is also very accommodating and will drive you to the city, local pub or a hike in the area if you want.

Anne is incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. The tasks were easy to manage, very varied, and there was something different to do every day. The work took place outdoors throughout the day, which I really enjoyed. The surroundings were very calm and peaceful, and working outside was something I found especially enjoyable and rewarding.

Anne also made me feel very welcome by including me in her social and family life, which made the experience feel personal, warm, and truly special.

Accommodation was in a van, providing a comfortable space and a good level of privacy.
