Camping Bellavista

Build an Eco-Village & Earthship with a Nature Guide in the Tropics.

We have the mission of being better human beings, learning about collective love, and taking care of our shared home. We love life, nature, and friendship. Our lifestyle sits between the countryside and care, simple natural food, gardening, medicinal herbs, and alternative therapies. We have a chacra (garden) with products from the humid tropical region, a nursery, and gardens. We need help to maintain the crops, and we would also be very grateful and happy to share experiences with volunteers. We look forward to your visit!

Welcome!!!

An incredible life lesson! Not only did I learn about cacao and achiote cultivation, but I also enjoyed the river and strolls through the beautiful town, ate very well with the local cuisine, and connected with the customs of its people. The alternative therapies renewed my energy. Víctor, the host, is outstanding and makes you feel at home from day one. If you want to live a complete adventure, learn and heal from within, I would love to return. Take heart, anyone reading this—come be part of the experience!

This is a great experience for a genuine farming experience inside the city of Santo Domingo. The host provides a safe apartment, which will feel like being in the middle of the rainforest. The work is straight forward and this is a great opportunity for those looking to learn about sustainable agriculture and agroforestry. There will be plenty of opporunity to meet locals and visit local sites. Santo Domingo is not on everyone's route in travelling Ecuador, but it should be. And if you come to Santo Domingo, the farm is the best place to stay.

I have experienced the whole process, from the fruit on the tree to making the chocolate by hand, with artisanal methods. Almost all the food comes from the field.

Víctor is very kind and has taught me everything he knows.

We have also improved the volunteers' room with a mesh screen to keep mosquitoes out. It is a private room shared among the volunteers. There are two beds and a private bathroom.

I never thought that that volunteer would be so valuable. I will never forget her. If you want an authentic experience, come!

At first I thought I couldn't stay more than a couple of days, but in the end I stayed for two weeks, I came out stronger and more resilient. Country life invites you to step out of your comfort zone and set aside the conveniences we're used to. The work is manageable and you set your own schedule. Victor and his family are very welcoming and teach about local culture, gardening and agriculture. Victor also has many projects and a desire to improve himself; we stayed talking for a long time. The location has good connectivity and nearby inexpensive places to eat. Insect repellent is indispensable!

We felt very welcome by Víctor Hugo; He has many projects in mind, he is a person with a desire to undertake and improve his camping project. At the moment he has a complicated family situation and it is hard for him to carry it out. He needs a lot of help to keep clean and tidy the farm, the camping and the house. We were delighted to be able to help him in everything we could. We loved being with the family, we felt at home. We stayed in a small house with a bathroom and a fridge for ourselves alone. Thank you Víctor and family, it has been a pleasure.

MONICA AND MONTSE ARE EXTRAORDINARY! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Receiving them is a gift. Not only are they volunteers, they are beings of light who transform everything. They worked tirelessly in the garden, surpassing any physical expectation, but their greatest impact was emotional: they cared with infinite love for our grandmothers, fed us with delicious food and reset our mindset with their joy. They have created indelible bonds. I highly recommend to any Worldpackers host that they
