It was undoubtedly a beautiful experience! Kathy and Marcelo welcomed me with open arms and with all the possible comforts and more. I felt very welcomed and safe with them, as if I were in my own home. The work I did in the garden was a lot of fun. I learned how to weed, plant seeds, clean drawers, etc… Kathy is ultra mega flexible with any need you may have, whether it's the working hours or any comfort of yours inside the house. They live far away from everything, which, in my opinion, adds a special touch to the experience. I recommend it!!! :)

It was a truly beautiful experience, and if I could, I would have stayed much longer. Since I arrived, Margot and Vitalino welcomed me with a lot of affection and made me feel like part of their family, something I value and am grateful for from the bottom of my heart. It is an incredible place, surrounded by nature, tranquility, and full of small lessons every day. I carry with me many beautiful memories, conversations, laughter, and moments that I will cherish. I would definitely recommend experiencing this. I hope someday I can come back to visit them.

Hello, this is Tom and Liam. We really enjoyed our stay at Las Horquetas. We couldn't wish for us to stay at a more special place than this one. From farming the beautifull lands to slaughtering a lamb and being within the beautiful mountains that Chile has to offer. We already miss Norma Ricardo and the 4 dogs so much.
Also we felt so welcomed at their place as if they were our own grandparents. It was really fun to learn everything we had to do at the farm and after a week we could for example herd the sheep of the land ourselves together with the dogs. Also we have learned Chilean Spanish.

The experience was very good and I was able to connect with the people there and feel like I belonged there. The tasks performed were very useful and I learned a lot! The nature in the place is quite unique since the place is remote! I highly recommend!

I was very excited to start my trip through southern Chile with this volunteer program, but I had difficulty enjoying it. There was someone who didn't make me feel very welcome and spoke to me aggressively as a 'joke', sometimes implying that I wished I would return home or commenting that I was doing my tasks badly. There were many shouts and violent words; nonetheless, Kathy was incredibly kind, welcoming me and teaching me a lot, but I think some rules of conduct are missing. I had to leave early; I told them so with respect and calm.

Thank you for your review. I certainly can't leave it without comment. We are a family with children, we are chaotic, we are noisy. But even so we are open and give our best. By living with us you will see our good days and bad days, as in all families. People from the countryside tend to be different from those in the city, perhaps tougher in a certain way, due to their way of life, but I want to emphasize that there is no mistreatment here and every person who lends us their time will always be welcomed.
