Can Remilans

After 9 years of welcoming volunteers, we haven't lost the desire to share and discover new things, we have welcomed more than 80 volunteers during all this time and we have many good friends, some have returned several times!!

Hello hello!!!
We are a big family! Elena, Lucas and the little Lür! who is now 8 years old!!! We also live with a handful of animals (3 dogs, many cats and 1 donkey).
We live in a masia, the old typical country houses of Catalonia, dating from the 13th century. We try to live respecting the environment and leaving the world better than we found it.

My experience in this volunteering work was deeply enriching. From the first day, Lucas and his family welcomed me with warmth, making me feel part of the home.
The setting is beautiful: the masía, the orchard, and daily life, walking the dogs and spending some time with Batman the donkey, are enjoyed every day.
I was able to get involved in garden tasks, learn more about the local culture, and share meals made with what they themselves grow. I carry beautiful memories and a huge affection for the family. Without a doubt, it is an experience I would repeat. Thank you very much for everything.

Our experience with Julieth was fantastic, and despite it being her first time volunteering, she acted with integrity, contributed and always actively participated in all proposals. At all times she took the initiative to see and complete pending tasks at home. Always very respectful and attentive with all the people and animals in the house, you know that the doors to our home are open for when you need them and, of course, we look forward to having you at the farewell meal that we had pending! Thank you very much

I had a great experience at the house with Lucas and his whole family. Thanks to their warmth and willingness to help at any moment, I felt at home from the beginning.
I really enjoyed working in the garden and in the house as well. The harvest of food, the maintenance of the garden, etc. There are always things to do and it's a very rewarding job.
There are many things to do outside the house as well. The train station is quite close and from there there are beaches and very pretty towns less than an hour away by train.
A thousand thanks for everything and I hope to come back again!

My experience with Lucas and his family was very enriching. From the first day they made me feel comfortable and part of the place, and they were always attentive to the volunteers' well-being.

Participating in this volunteer program was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had. Working inside a historic farmhouse with so much history has an inexplicable magic. The surroundings are amazing, surrounded by a huge vegetable garden from which I gained incredibly valuable and practical lessons about the garden.
Lucas's family and everyone around them are exceptional people. From day one they are incredibly kind and do absolutely everything to make you feel at home. We grew very close and carry each of them in our hearts, especially their son Lur, who is an amazing boy.
We’ll be back…

The exchange description states "Join our family...", and that is exactly how I felt - from the moment I arrived. Lucas and his family are super welcoming and caring. They were attending to all my needs and I felt like I was with my family. That explains why there are several volunteers who keep coming back and stating that Lucas' family are friends rather than "exchange hosts".
Working with Lucas was a pleasure as well. I could see the meaning in what I was doing and I felt that my help was appreciated
I'll definitely try to come again, next time for longer-It was one of the best holidays
