You will experience the real life of maintaining a house in the countryside, enjoy your own time and also the company of a family that values calm, healthy food, and the shared know-how around the fire.
We buy groceries so you can cook for yourself, and we will also share some meals or dinners together, creating a warm and close atmosphere💛
At our home we lead a sustainable and mindful life. We drink well or spring water, we cultivate our winter garden (garlic, beans, cabbages, leeks…), we make our own compost and take care of our 20 chickens. 🌱🐔 Moreover, all our energy comes from solar panels.
The volunteers will mainly support us in cleaning and tidying the house day to day, spending time with our 3-year-old son Nilo and helping with the maintenance tasks of the chickens, painting wood or building the sauna
Every month we host an event to celebrate the equinoxes and solstices, and you will be fully invited to participate. 🔥🌕
You will have your own room and your own kitchen, while the bathrooms are shared, although you will also be able to use the main house.
You will be treated with affection, respect and a family-like atmosphere. 💚

The accommodation is super comfortable, incredibly clean, and absolutely tranquil. The location is unbeatable and the views are simply spectacular. In addition, the food was very good at all times. The hosts are top-notch: extremely attentive, friendly and making you feel at home from the first minute.
Nilo is a small guy with lots of energy; he lives each day learning as he grows, and together we create great memories and experiences that are appreciated.

My volunteer experience in Alocén was incredible. María and Félix made me feel from the very first moment like part of the family, always attentive, friendly, and caring about me. In addition, María prepared delicious recipes every day. I spent a lot of time with Nilo, who turned out to be my dear little friend. We had a lot of fun together and I have a lot of affection for him. They always respected the work hours and made sure you didn't feel overwhelmed, something that is greatly appreciated. I hope to see them again because they are fantastic people, and I have a very nice memory of my stay there.

Félix and Maria were so kind, very welcoming and always open to assist me in anything I needed. Nilo is so smart and was so playful. The experience was cool, I enjoyed the view and had a good time. The place is far away so basically if you're looking for get away to the nature and have a time for yourself and/or maybe to get to know more and different people, you can join them and I'm sure you'll have a good time. (:

It was my first experience volunteering, and honestly it couldn't have been better.
María and Felix make you feel at home and are attentive to all the needs that may arise at the moment, which are actually minimal since from the beginning you have everything you need and more, but without a doubt the most pleasant surprise was Nilo, an excellent playmate.
