Casa De Los Cuadros
A retreat style place. Calm, in nature.
If you are interested in real Spain and living like a local then this is for you.
It is not isolated and has a few bars and restaurants in the village, with more to explore in the nearby towns.
You can access our village by bus from Malaga or Seville. There is a daily bus that can take you to well known tourist towns such as Ronda.
You can get to famous Ronda in 45 minutes by bus and the beautiful town of Grazalema in 15 minutes by bus.
The region is one of the sunniest parts of Spain. Lots of winter sunshine too. The house is heated in winter and very comfortable in all seasons.
Steve is a photographer and Dawn is in Marketing.
We spend a lot of time away from the house as well as working in the house, mostly during Art Retreats.
Depending on the time of year that you stay, it could be working with another volunteer and you stay in our apartment. If we are not there then you will need to cook and be independent but we do provide all of the food.
Other times, you would be working with us and we cook.

Would highly recommend. Steve was there the whole time I was there for 3 weeks and he's just an amazing person all around- also absolutely hilarious! Dawn was here for the last week and also so sweet and hilarious as well. The food was awesome and the locals in the town there are all so welcoming.

I loved my experience at the guest house!The house is beautiful, in a lovely little village surrounded by mountains. Perfect if you enjoy peace, quiet and nature. The tasks are simple and the schedule is respected, leaving plenty of time to explore the area. I'm very grateful to Dawn for giving me the opportunity to do my first volunteering experience there. She was clear and attentive from the very beginning. I'd also like to thank Steve for his generosity, respect, sense of humor, company and delicious meals! I truly had an amazing time. I highly recommend it :)

I had a decent experience here. It's very good for relaxing. Some notes of clarity are that it says in the description that you either get a shift in the morning or the afternoon that's between 2-4 hours. We typically worked over 4 hours everyday and it was split between the morning and the afternoon. This is during the art retreat. I don't know if the description is for the other programs. The town is also very remote so I would come with a friend. The nature of the work we did was more cleaning than cooking as well! The home is gorgeous and make sure to go to Ronda for a day trip!

Just to clarify for the reader, the total hours helping in 7 days is 20 ( as stated ) therefore 4 hrs a day, as there are two days off.
It seems that Aliya was confused.
Also, for this role, it is very much about food prep, laying tables, clearing up. Much more that, than room changes, as it is an Art Retreat.

I really enjoyed my time there. It's a quiet place to escape everyday stress. If you ever need a lot of peace, nature, and relaxation, it's the right place. The exchange with Dawn was very straightforward and pleasant. I truly felt that I could always reach out if I had any problems. The private living area there is also very comfortable. There you have everything you need.🌞🫶🏼

I spent two weeks here, and it was an amazing experience. The hosts are very nice and welcoming, and the whole village is friendly. I got to connect with the local culture during my free time. The assigned tasks were easy and manageable. I loved it here, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone❤️❤️❤️
