Casa De Los Cuadros

Off the beaten track, the village is set high up in the mountains of a beautiful protected natural park. Fantastic for walking, cycling, photography. If you are interested in real Spanish culture and living like a local then this is for you. Otherwise, you will be more suited to somewhere busier and may find it too quiet. It is not isolated and has a few bars and restaurants in the village, with more to explore in the nearby towns. But it is quiet, rural and relaxing. If you want lots of people and bars, shops, special dietary foods in the village, then this won't be suitable. But you can get to famous Ronda in 45 minutes by bus and if we are not completely full with guests, happy to take you on a trip to Cadiz. Any excuse to go! Just over an hour to the coast of Cadiz by car. Buses will take you longer as the first is not direct. The region is one of the sunniest parts of Spain. We live in a relaxed style with our two small dogs and our home is spacious with lots of character, set just behind the pretty village square.

Steve is a photographer and Dawn is in Marketing. We both love walking and exploring. We are almost at the end of the renovation of our house, which will be a guest house offering different experiences. We are sociable and enjoy meeting new people. We like to cook and provide very comfortable stays.

Hello. We both know this was a terrible experience. The worldpackers here all loved their stay.

Unfortunately, you had no awareness of how to help and of the situation.

We had three rooms to change, not five. In the first two hours that I left you, hardly anything was done. I asked you if you wanted a break. Finally, we finished, with a lot of my help and me recleaning everything that you should have done. We finished at 2 pm and you started at That is four hours.

In addition, you said that you could speak some English and could help us speak Spanish. Therefore, as we are English and do not speak very much Spanish, it would make sense that you could communicate just a little with me.

When you decided not to give it another day (because you said you were a writer and teacher and could not do it), you then proceeded to ignore me and then after eating left plates and pans for me to wash and clear away.

None of these things are how a worldpacker should be.

I’ve learned a lot with Steve and Dawn, from marketing to cleaning walls. They’re very friendly and respectful. The village is super super quiet perfect to rest, get into the culture and connect with nature. They were very attentive and took me to meet some places around. Wonderful experience. I fall in love with the Village

Dawn and Steve are really nice people. Although we stayed a short time with them, we enjoyed a lot helping at the hotel project and knowing the area and surrundings. Very recommended experience!
