Casa Maré

Because here, you’re not just a volunteer — you become part of a living, creative, and welcoming community. This space was designed for genuine cultural exchange, where people from all over the world can connect, share, and inspire one another.

As your host, I (Leonardo) make it a priority to ensure every volunteer feels respected, supported, and free to express their passion. With experience in hosting travelers and building collaborative environments, I see volunteering as a true exchange: you bring your time, energy, and talents, and in return, you receive an experience filled with nature, culture, creativity, and authentic human connection.

If you’re looking for a place that offers purpose, lightness, and a sense of belonging, this is where you’ll find it.

I’m Leonardo, the host of this guesthouse — a project created with love and intention to inspire connection, creativity, and well-being. The space was born from a desire to bring people together in a light, collaborative, and meaningful environment.

Every volunteer here is treated with care, respect, and the freedom to be themselves. Our team is small, friendly, and always happy to support. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and the comfort of everyone in the house. Volunteers aren’t just here to help — they are an essential part of the community, enriching the energy of the space with their presence, ideas, and talents.

You’ll have the autonomy to share what you love — whether leading a yoga class, preparing a group meal, or simply sharing stories around the table. At the same time, we respect your need for rest, reflection, and enjoying the beauty of Florianópolis.

Volunteering here is about more than helping — it’s about living fully, connecting deeply, and creating unforgettable memories. ✨

It was a truly nice experience, very flexible and welcoming! I found myself in a very nice house with local people that taught me a lot about the culture. This was a social experience, and since it wasn’t high season the house was more quite and the city as well. The place is for digital nomads so the house tends to be more quiet and calm not very party but overall super outgoing ! My best to Leo and Nani

The coliving was my first experience as a volunteer and the truth is that it was incredible. Being more of a house than a hostel, it has the comfort and tranquility needed to live and work remotely. It is very clean, very well equipped, and very close to everything because it is one block from the Lagoa da Conceição bridge. As a volunteer it was a bit complex because the vacancy I applied for was one, and upon arriving Leo changed some tasks without talking them over with me beforehand and he didn't know either how to handle certain indications and 'directives' without getting tense or stressed at times. Very grateful anyway ✨️

Coliving was a key space for my trip, a moment of transition between living, working and volunteering. Leo was super flexible and helped me adjust the schedules on my layover so I could also work outside. The house is impeccable, very clean and tidy, small, so the tasks finish very quickly. Ideal if you’re looking for a calm, quiet space to work in the coworking. If you understand Leo's quirks, you'll be fine.

My days at the coliving were great! The host, Leo, is very kind! Peaceful, clear communication, and always very willing. The room is shared with +1 volunteer. I was able to sleep and rest well! The house is located in an incredible location for those who see the lagoon come alive! Close to everything! And there is a lot of cultural activity around here. The house is super cozy! The living room is spacious and fresh, super delicious! The coworking is air-conditioned and with good chairs! The kitchen is incredible for cooking and socializing. With good utensils. On the balcony there are hammocks to rest. I recommend this volunteering! 🤍
