Casal do Alecrim
The Silver Coast has a very good climate as it's never freezing and rarely gets too hot. I love to be there during the winter too as there are many sunny days, and it's lovely to sit by the fire place. The property is half wild brush, with many birds and other animals taking refuge here. The house is quite big and well-equipped. We have a little infrared sauna and a big pool (not heated). Sao Martinho do Porto is a five-minute drive and has a daily market going with fruit and veggies from local farmers. The bay is very famous for swimming and used to be called Lisbon's bathtub in the past.
I'm looking for some good company to work together in the garden and for property maintenance but also for cooking and taking hikes etc. There are Padel Tennis courts close by we could use or we could go to look at places in the area.
It's a very high quality place so I need you too be very clean and orderly! I am also sensitive to curse words. Likewise I try to do my best to take good care of you!

The host was very friendly. Although we had some issues regarding the accommodation in the beginning this was quickly resolved by the host. The work was really engaging and also fulfilling. There were bikes available for use aswell.
It is definitely a place to relax and be away from the city.

My stay at the home was honestly a 10/10 experience. I felt welcomed from the second we met. The property is beautiful and the best ocean view is just 5 minutes away. I had my own huge tent with a comfy mattress in the garden. We had healthy and delicious meals every day. My work was mainly gardening which was simple and always rewarding. I really enjoyed spending time with Mona and her daughters, they're really chill and easygoing and she always wants the best for the volunteers. Thank you Mona for everything you are genuinely an awesome host. 🌞🌀

The experience was very beautiful, I met a lot of people from many places, these were incredible weeks, the work was a bit simple, mostly gardening and firewood tasks, I learned a lot and all thanks to Jan as host, we often had communication problems, I feel that a little understanding will make your stay there phenomenal :)

Me and my girlfriend stayed with Jan and other volunteers where we had a month and a half of fun and peace. Jan is was a very kind host that cared for us deeply, and had a nice taste in music. We got to stay in our own tiny house were the living conditions were better than home, and the work was very flexible ranging from creating stone paths to cleaning and chopping fallen trees (only if there's a once in a 50 year storm). Overall, it was one of the best volunteering conditions that I have seen and experienced. Big thanks to the people we met that made the experience unforgettable🤙
