Casas Porto de Cima

We have a large space full of native nature and tranquility, and we are well located, about a 5-minute walk from the city center. The houses are simple and require ongoing maintenance and cleaning.

A space of kindness and freedom from discrimination. We accept any creed, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender or sexual orientation. We ask that all volunteers be aware that they may have to collaborate and live with different people, as we all have our own singularities.

My experience with the host has been very positive. Max is a very calm, receptive and easygoing person, always willing to help. I especially liked the privacy, good structure and contact with nature. It's a place that really allows you to slow down and have a bit of peace, but it's also close to the nightlife in Morro. The tasks are straightforward and the days off can be coordinated with Max, I highly recommend.

My experience at Casas Porto de Cima was peaceful, in a space surrounded by nature, very well located, with a volunteers-only little house with a bathroom and a kitchen inside it, which gives you independence.
Max is a friendly, attentive and inclusive host.
The current task available is cleaning the houses, not gardening tasks, since that is handled by Dani, who is also very friendly.
There is a free and very nice weekly writing/reading workshop on site.

The host encima is beautiful! And a 10/10 💚 The volunteering is easy and, moreover, Max gives you total confidence to do everything calmly. Besides, he taught me and allowed me to do new tasks, which helped me acquire new skills. I am incredibly grateful and a place I would highly recommend ✨

It was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have loved it more! Max is super flexible and understanding; the tasks are easy, and usually the work didn't exceed 3 to 4 hours. And any disagreement is easily resolved with a conversation. I would highly recommend this volunteering opportunity!!!
