We are looking for awesome Worldpackers to volunteer in our hostel in Oxford city centre! We are a small independent hostel welcoming volunteers from all over the world! Volunteers help us with a bit of everything, so a day is never the same! We want to offer you a great experience in the UK, in a very social and friendly environment as we love hanging out together! We consider ourselves a social hostel, we are not a party hostel, but we still love having fun! There is always something to do in Oxford! It is a very cultural city with a lot of history and fascinating museums and colleges, but it remains a student city with many activities, events, and nightlife going on! There are also many green areas to go for a walk or do some sport, and we are only an hour away from London! Join our team and live the full backpackers experience!
Volunteers are helping to run the hostel in exchange for their accommodation in the staff dorms, as well as access to all of our facilities (laundry, kitchen, etc) and discounts. Main tasks involve reception, customer service, housekeeping, events, and socializing. In exchange, we offer you a great backpackers experience with an amazing and international team in England's best city!

She's one of the most noteworthy individuals you'll encounter in Oxford. What's more, you'll discover a wealth of fascinating and impressive people among the volunteers and guests at the hostel. While the workload may be a tad demanding, you'll still have ample opportunity to explore the city and its surroundings.

This experience at Central Backpackers was amazing. You can not dream of a better one, that was my first experience and it was more than what I was expecting.
The life at the hostel makes you feel like home, the team will make you feel like family, the managers are amazing. The work can be hard at the beginning, but fair, and the team is really comprehensive and flexible.
Do not hesitate, that is the perfect place to start volunteering or do your next one.

CB was my first Worldpackers experience and I’m so thankful for that. After 3 months living and working here, this place becomes a home. The manager and the team are amazing, you always have someone to talk too, drink with or go out with.
The hours and worked stated are respected and they are so flexible and understanding regarding when you can work.

My experience at CBO was absolutely wonderful, the best 6 months of my life. It’s been an honor and a delight to be part of such amazing team.
The location of the hostel is right in the centre of Oxford so everything is a short walk away! Work is easy and well organized, and since the working hours are well respected you get plenty of free time to visit Oxford and travel around the UK.
I’ve met the loveliest people on earth and have made friends for life.
Special thanks to the manager, for being the most approachable, funny and kindest friend and leader one could ever have.

My stay at CBO was one of the highlights of the past few years. It felt like living in a family, I will be always glad for the time spent in the hostel and for the people I met. The city is lovely and due to the management and the flexibility of the shifts it is possible to travel around the UK. If you look for an opportunity to grow and learn this is the right place.
