Summary: It's an experience that I would definitely recommend to everyone! (4 weeks)
Extended: The castle is located in Bosguet, a quiet, noise-free and wooded place. Jane and Peter are very kind, polite, and respect your working hours. I learned gardening and how to use new tools, a mower, a hedge trimmer, etc. I had to water the green areas and feed the chickens, among other things. They are not difficult tasks, but sometimes they can be tiring. Undoubtedly the best part for me were the other volunteers who made my stay incredible. Bus transportation is difficult to get from the castle to Rouan or to the supermarket

In fact during jose stay with us the bus was not stopping at our front gate due to extensive road works. Normally it is very easy

My experience at the château was incredible. Living and sharing an apartment with five volunteers from different countries was a very enriching experience; it helped me a lot to practice my English and to learn to live in a community.
Peter and Jane are attentive hosts. They respect the schedules agreed upon and support you with more food than what was agreed on the platform. They have a very practical app to notify them if any supplies are needed at the accommodation. From time to time they invited us to dine together; Jane cooked delicious meals.

I had a wonderful time as a volunteer at the farm. Peter and Jane are incredibly generous and respectful. They were attentive to the needs of the volunteers. I learned so much about the maintenance of a large estate and handy skills! I'll remember this summer for a long time :)

My experience with Peter and Jane at their lovely the farm was so so incredible. I was one of 7 other volunteers and we all had different tasks to do around the farm. Pete and Jane were very fair about how much we worked, never went over our 4 hours for the day and were incredibly generous with providing great food and utilities. Jane makes incredible food as well and was kind enough to offer some of her delicious food time to time. I specifically have a background in furniture making so Pete and I spend a lot of time together having fun in the workshop and learnt so much through our time.

This was an unforgettable experience. Château Bosgouet will always have a special place in my heart. I'm grateful to Peter and Jane for their kindness and hospitality. The work was fair, the environment was peaceful, and I had the chance to meet incredible people. I left with great memories, new friendships, and a lot of gratitude. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity.
