Chill Out Hostel Boracay

Here you will get to socialize with foreign travelers and vacationers from all over the world, plus experience Filipino culture through conversation and meals. You'll have plenty of free time to explore Boracay island or try out water activities.

Our staff members are friendly and welcoming Filipinos who will make you feel at home here in the hostel. The business is owned by Claudio, an Italian who is not permanently living in Boracay. You will be treated with the highest respect and the staff are always very curious to learn about your life. I can attest to this as I am the present volunteer writing up this profile - and I have loved my experience here.

My two-week volunteering at the hostel was simply amazing. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a fantastic and collaborative staff. Working hours were respected, yet every task was approached with enthusiasm, making the experience both fulfilling and enjoyable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a welcoming community and look forward to returning.

I particularly enjoyed my experience at Chill Out. The job itself is pretty straightforward, mainly involving socializing with the guests. There's plenty of free time to explore the island, which is really cool! The atmosphere at the hostel is great, and I felt right at home. The island itself is quite touristy and expensive. I would recommend this volonteer job

The staff at the Hostel we always super nice and felt us feel really welcomed. For the social agent role, it might be a little trickier when in low season, but you will also work on your improvement skills and adapt accordingly :).
If you are a slow traveller, I do recommend this volunteering opportunity!

My experience at Chill Out was very enjoyable! The staff are very kind as is the owner Claudio, who was present for most of my nearly 2 month stay here! The work itself can be a bit confusing simply due to lack of direction, which can be both a positive and a negative. Claudio encourages his volunteers to be independent with the work and gives them full creative control ranging from making content to hosting events. The benefit of this is you have creative freedom! The downside is that at times I was a bit lost on how to spend my time working when it was a slow night. Overall positive though!
