Preparing breakfast at Distrito Hostal was fun and easy. I got to meet many travelers and due to the short working hours, I had a lot of time to explore Santa Marta. There is a great variety of activities around so I was able to do my diving license and visit the national park during my stay. Eduardo is very flexible when it comes to taking days off, you just need to communicate it before. The hostel itself is very spacious and they renovated the place just a short time ago. I would recommend the experience to anyone, preparing waffles and eggs has been a great activity during my travels.

Hacer voluntariado en Distrito Hostel fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. El staff es increíblemente amable, hacer desayunos es súper divertido y tienes la oportunidad de conocer diferentes personas y culturas, son muy respetuosos con las horas de trabajo y flexibles respecto a los días libres. La vibra de todo el lugar hace que no te quieras ir nunca de allí.

La hospitalidad en este hostel fue muy buena desde el primer momento. Tuvieron flexibilidad en el momento de mis horarios. El personal es muy amable y en poco tiempo habrán buenas conexiones. Las mascotas del hostel son 2 gatitos muy lindos y cariñosos. Practiqué mucho inglés porque algunos pocos hablaban español porque la mayoría de gente ahí hablaba inglés y fue estupendo para familiarizarme con el idioma! Además, tiene una ubicación perfecta porque está en el centro y todo se puede hacer caminando. El hostel es muy tranquilo y cómodo ;)

I had a lovely time staying at Distrito hostel. The owners are super flexible and communicate well. Preparing breakfast is easy and fun as you meet lots of new people. Also, as a volunteer you get a free night at their hotel in Palomino. Perfect little getaway ☺️
