During my stay I never witnessed any kind of mistreatment of children. I believe that cultural differences can often generate a clash with reality or cause us to interpret some situations from our own perspective. However, it is also important to remember that, as volunteers, we are guests in a community and in a home that has its own dynamics. Our role is to adapt with respect and, if we believe that something could be improved, to offer constructive suggestions.

This, without a doubt, has been my best personal experience; sharing with the children in the classroom, in the dining hall, listening to how they feel, celebrating their celebrations... The organization has given me an invaluable gift😍 Thank you🌻

Being at this school was a real immersion. The students are a delightful, lively bunch; yes, they can be a handful, they are very active. And this true essence of them is what makes me feel as if they have already been part of my life forever. I can only be grateful.

I also want to thank the loving team that takes care of these children as if they were their own children. Jony and Neli, Rosa, Armando, Jackelin and Julissa, Deyniset. In addition to them, thanks to Daniel and Jenny for keeping the volunteers here. The direct-contact team is very small for all they need to do, so the volunteers here have to do their part.

Daniel replied

Cris, your work deserves ten thousand points :)

Cris fulfilled his workshop duties satisfactorily. The children learned to recycle plastic bags with crochet. They received clear instructions, with patience. Cris made sure to motivate them and to celebrate their achievements, without excluding anyone.

We are very grateful for your work!

The only thing I’m glad about having gone to the organization is for the children. They are pure love and they transmit it at all hours. It’s a real pleasure to be surrounded by all of them. Daniel has also been a good point of contact during the volunteering. but... At no moment during the volunteering did I feel accepted by the teachers. I was told that they didn’t need my help in the morning classes, and they didn’t communicate with me at all. Quite disappointing. The way they treat the children is very improvable. The school custodian doesn’t do anything to help you

Perfect! The best volunteer I've ever had on the platform. I felt at home, very respected! I did beautiful work in dance therapy. I'm leaving with a 'see you later'. I loved connecting with everyone at the organization's clinic. Thank you so much for everything!
