Eco-Friendly Why Me Tbilisi
Eco-friendly Why Me Tbilisi is the first sustainable travel company in Georgia. It's innovative and award winning. All technology used in the building wasn't available and created mainly by ourselves. Winner of the international H2Otel Water Saving award in 2019 presented by the United Nations. Eco-friendly Why Me Tbilisi is a very small guesthouse/hostel with 4 rooms and only 15 beds.
If you want to make a difference in this little world and you are ready to learn about all tiny tricks and adjustments to make a better world, come, see, learn and tell others!
We will welcome you to the Why Me family, a mixed family where the founders Rosik (Dutch Caribbean) and Inna (Georgian) are very active in the operations. A family where children help where they can, where our little one of four years old was entertaining guests and showing them their room, where all of us have a part in providing the best experience for our guests. We are very nature minded and love the mountain areas. Join us on trips for a hike or a picnic. The Why Me family doesn't have any staff, but welcomes volunteers to help them out.

This was my first volunteer experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. I'm truly grateful to Inna and her family for creating such a warm, healthy, and welcoming atmosphere. I was especially impressed by how much they care for our planet, promoting and practicing sustainability throughout the hostel. I loved the peaceful vibe and the opportunity to experience how locals truly live. One of the best parts was being able to explore different tourist spots almost every day while volunteering. It was a wonderful collaboration, and I'm so thankful for the experience. Lots of love🫶

I volunteered here for two weeks. The hostel itself has a cozy atmosphere and can feel welcoming for guests.
However, my experience as a volunteer did not fully match the expectations we agreed on at the beginning. Some of the tasks and conditions we discussed beforehand were later denied, which created confusion and stress. Communication was often unclear, and I would have appreciated a more respectful and constructive approach, especially toward the end of my stay.
I recommend that future volunteers clarify all responsibilities and expectations very clearly before arriving.

What was not clear from the beginning is that the accounts used are not public. The followers are not in the public account. Meetings every day which is written in our introduction letter wasn't read or not understood. Many times meetings which were confirmed by writing was not match and we had to reschedule which is very difficult for us. There wasn't anything else to say then we didn't feel that there was enough commitment and clearly a language barrier

The owners and their family were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. The hostel was spotless and very comfortable, and I was particularly impressed by their the hostel approach. I stayed for a week and had a fantastic time learning about Georgia and playing board games with the hosts and other guests. However, a quick tip for creators: since my video editing work required a constant Wi-Fi connection, I experienced some delays, so I'd recommend having an app that allows offline editing if you plan to work here. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it!
