Educational Project "Bosque Escola das Avelãs"
The work with children can be the most meaningfull experience in the life. The way the next generation grows up will have a big impact on the world in the future.
We are a community of families, teachers and other volunteers, that built up this project in the last years since 2017. We treat each other very respectfully and trustfully. We try to support each other. We use tools like sociocracy and take decisions in consent.
As our project is very multicultural, you can have a lot of cultural exchange and can learn many different languages (also from the children).

My experience as a volunteer at this forest school was truly exceptional. From day one, I felt completely welcomed, included, and supported. The staff and the families are incredibly kind, warm, and caring. Being here reminded me that there are genuinely good people everywhere, and it helped me rebuild my confidence in myself. I'm leaving with a heart full of gratitude and unforgettable memories. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience and sincerely hope to come back one day.

unfortunatly I missed the time to write a comment for you. So I will do it here. Thank you again for your stay and your help! You were very engaged and tried to help where you could. In the future you could try to learn to care for yourself a bit more (having enough to eat and drink with you f.e.). We were very happy to see how the relationship between you and the kids improved during your stay. Especially the older boys (aged 11/12) loved to "hang out" with you ;) All the best!
