My stay with Celina, Bruno, Luthien, and Valentine (and Rock) was absolutely amazing! They made me feel welcome and like I was part of the family. The work day started earlier to avoid the mid day heat. Each day we had different task so it was never boring! I learned how to make jam from higo chumbo, harvest carob, prune olive trees and a few other things!
Celina is big on respect. You respect her, she respects you. Very simple
My only complaint is that my experience wasnโ€™t longer!! Thank you so much, I hope to be back soon โค๏ธโค๏ธ

I really enjoyed my time with Celina and her family. Speaking Spanish, doing outdoor volunteering and spending time with the family and other volunteers travelling around the local area. There's a space for the volunteers and the work is fair and enjoyable. With most of it done in the morning - for the summer months, I didn't stay during the winter. The type of projects range from building mounds for their watering system to maintaining the trees, to even teaching English. Have some fun, do some work and treat them with respect and I'm sure you'll have a lovely time.

This was my very first volunteering experience. Celina and her family welcomed me and cooked for me even though I am vegetarian, which I am very grateful for. I stayed in a tent outside which was previously agreed upon. The only bad thing about that was that my mattress was broken so everyday I woke up on the ground. To be honest the cleannesses of the shared utilities and kitchen wasn't the best so if I knew that beforehand it would be a dealbreaker for me. The beach is around 30 minutes by bike and 1 hour by bus, by the photos I thought it would be much closer. The work itself was okay ๐Ÿ‘

Celina replied

She is a polite and pleasant girl ๐Ÿ˜Š, although she had difficulty adapting to the pace and to the tasks in the field. On occasion she lacked some initiative and care with cleaning the common areas. On the last day she left food out and another volunteer had to pick it up and clean.
We also had some difficulties with the house rules. For future experiences, we recommend paying attention to clothing, especially in rural and family environments, and being careful when returning home alone at night.

For my first volunteering experience, I got on really well! The family was incredibly welcoming and the children were fantastic. Although I didn't speak Spanish well, I communicated in English with Bruno. With Celina there was great flexibility: I managed the 5 hours of work per day on my own, almost all of them outdoors. It was wonderful meeting the other volunteers, with whom I shared the work and the outings to the sea, just 25 minutes by bike or by bus. The house was a bit messy and not very clean, but only for those who fear insectsโ€”haha. Great experience; Iโ€™m really happy about it!

It was a pleasure to welcome Lorenzo to our farm. He is a pleasant, hardworking, independent person with a good disposition.
As an area for improvement, remember the importance of calling before entering the hosts' private home; small courtesy details that help everyone.
And about the insects... haha, they're included in the rural pack! ๐ŸŒฟ
We recommend him and wish him all the best!

This was my second experience with Worldpackers and it was amazing!! Celina and the entire family were extremely kind and welcoming, and we shared many beautiful moments together.
I had my own casita to sleep in and bathroom + shower room, which are separate from the casita.
The tasks and the hours of work have differed some days, depending on what needed to get done or the heat. Overall the host was very considerate at all times.
I also learned a lot about self-sufficiency and organic farming, which I found super interesting (and tasty!). I would highly recommend this experience!!!
