Finca Cielo Andaluz

Hello! We’re a Brazilian couple, 39 and 40 years old, who have explored three continents and found our new home in Europe. For the past six years, we’ve been living in Germany, but our hearts have led us to Spain, where we've recently begun a new chapter in our lives. We’re currently spending part of the year in Spain, with plans to make it our full-time home very soon.

Our journey has been deeply influenced by the incredible projects we’ve volunteered the past 10 years, and now we’re excited to start our own adventure. In early 2024, we purchased a beautiful finca in Spain with a dream to create a space where like-minded people can come together to build a sustainable, connected community.

Our vision is to transform this finca into a peaceful space that combines yoga with regenerative agriculture, based on permaculture principles. Right now, we’re at the very beginning of this exciting journey—renovating the house and bringing new life to the land that’s been neglected for years. Our goal is to create a place where sustainability meets holistic well-being, where people can reconnect with nature and themselves.

We’re thrilled to offer the kind of enriching volunteer experience that once inspired us. We believe in the power of exchange—sharing knowledge, ideas, and experiences to create something truly special together!

Our finca is nestled in the mountains near Almuñécar, Granada, in the heart of Andalusia. It’s a secluded retreat on 2 hectares of private land, offering a serene atmosphere and stunning sunsets with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s perfect for those who appreciate peace, quiet, and remote locations.

For nature and adventure lovers, the surrounding area offers plenty to explore. Nearby, you’ll find beaches, mountains, hiking trails, national parks, waterfalls, and even paragliding opportunities. The region is also home to charming Andalusian white villages, full of culture and charm. Most activities are best accessed by car.

We are just a 25-minute drive from the nearest village and beach, where you’ll find supermarkets and shops. If you don’t have a car, you can either walk to the village in about 1.5 hours or take a taxi for approximately €20 per trip. Please keep this in mind if you’re looking for a location with easy access to amenities, as this is not the case here. However, if you’re seeking a place to reconnect with nature, enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, and soak in stunning views, then this is the perfect spot for you.

We spent two special weeks with Marcos and Raquel (and the sweety Margarida) in an incredible place.
The tasks and schedules were strictly respected and there was flexibility in agreeing on the more intense and tiring jobs (the heat of the first few days didn't help much, but afterwards it went much better!). We prepared the land to plant an agroforest and painted a small house.
It was really nice to meet other travelers and all sleep together in a wonderful, spacious and peaceful room. We ate a lot of eggplants and definitely experimented with so many recipes to cook them!! 😂 Thank you <3

I spent 2 wonderful weeks with Raquel and Marcos, and I'm very grateful for the experience I took part in agricultural tasks, including preparing the land with a tractor and planting seeds. Learning to live with less water and electricity made me more aware of what I use and brought me a sense of calm Eating vegan food for two weeks was also a new experience that I'm glad I tried Thank you, Raquel and Marcos, for your kindness and for sharing your way of life. I recommend this experience to anyone.

I had a wonderful time at the finca. Raquel and Marcos are kind, welcoming, and well-organized hosts. The working hours and tasks were as described. As someone from Northern Europe, I sometimes struggled with the heatwave during my stay, but they were always flexible to adjust the schedule. The house and the surrounding land, with their stunning views of the mountains and the sea are absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and I met lovely people. I hope to come back one day to see all the progress they've made and explore the beautiful surroundings even more.
