Finca de Capaon

Hello. We are a couple running a farm that is dedicated to rural tourism. We are located near the southern part of the island and we always have good weather, unlike the Las Palmas area which has more rainy days, wind and clouds.
Our farm is located in a paradisiacal place that brings good vibes and peace. Right at the entrance we have bus stop 18 that connects the southern part of the island with the heart of the island. It is very easy to get from Maspalomas Beach to Roque Nublo. So we are in a very good position for both beach lovers and those who enjoy hiking, climbing, etc.
We have 10 apartments and a restaurant that requires a lot of dedication. We have our workers, but any help is welcome to make things go better.
If you are interested in our proposal, do not hesitate to sign up for volunteering.

Volunteers will always be accompanied in their tasks by our workers and by us. The tasks are simple: help with cleaning the apartments and common areas, hang and fold towels and sheets, wash the dishes with the dishwasher, help to serve some tables, etc. It should be noted that the restaurant serves only the guests who are staying, and that the workload is not large.

My experience was marked by a clear discrepancy between what was offered and reality. Despite my flexibility in the face of initial changes, the conditions resembled a work relationship: demanding schedules, lack of breaks, and constant changes. When I respectfully expressed my limits, the host's attitude became distant and authoritarian. The lack of dialogue and empathy created an uncomfortable environment that led to my early departure. I believe that the meaning of volunteering is distorted, prioritizing productivity over well-being.

You have received everything that was promised to you and more; a clean room with everything you need, all the hearty breakfasts, meals, snacks and abundant dinners that were prepared for you and served with care. By contrast, when it came to doing the tasks, as you are outlining, 'your limits' prevented you, while other girls did them perfectly and had a good time just as they state in their reviews. We have empathy and we engage in dialogue, but we do not allow ourselves to be taken for fools.

It was a wonderful experience, as it was my first volunteering experience. The tasks were very easy, the timelines were respected, and they were very open about the food topic.
I'm taking home a wonderful memory of my time at the Finca. Lari, Carlos, Kate, Ana, Jorge, Lore, Tomas, and Puri made me feel incredibly welcome.
I was able to explore a lot of the island, and when I return I will definitely come by to say hi! 😊

An amazing experience✨️. The place is incredible!! If you like the mountains, you'll love it!! The food is delicious, and the oranges from the farm are spectacular. The facilities are very good. The tasks and the schedules are carried out correctly. Simple tasks, and even though there might be more work at times, Larisa and Carlos transmit calm. They are such wonderful people, super hospitable and attentive. And with Carlos you'll laugh a lot!! I felt at home!! Very grateful!! I'll visit again!!💛

My experience on the farm was incredible, the place looks like something out of a fairy tale, surrounded by nature, the accommodation very good and the food amazing! Ana and Jorge are workers there, super friendly and showed willingness and good company. I just happened to share with two volunteers with whom we connected and who are incredible people ✨. The work is fine, they are simple tasks; keep in mind that the bus schedules aren't very frequent, but if you organize yourself well, in a month you can get to know a large part of the island. I thank Carlos and Lari for being so kind and for cooking so delicious ❤️ I would definitely return without a doubt!
