Finca Guival
As a volunteer, you'll experience full immersion in Costa Rican culture by working directly with Spanish-speaking locals, enjoying traditional foods, and exploring the abundant nature of our region. The farm is situated in a secluded area at the top of the mountains in southern Costa Rica, with streams and rivers on both sides, making it an ideal place to recharge. There's a possibility to ride the farm's horse, go whale watching during the season, and you have the freedom to take self-guided walks around the farm to explore—it's very safe. There will also be 10 dogs to protect and alert you. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about self-sustainable living. At this farm, we focus heavily on sustainability, including composting, recycling, repurposing waste, reusing organic fertilizer, and using minimal chemical interventions.
If there are excursions during which volunteers are taken out, they will be responsible for their own expenses, including transportation, activities, and meals. We also encourage volunteers to share their culture through their favorite dishes, allowing us to learn and experience a bit of their world.
