Finca Las Tres Estrellas

If you're looking for a peaceful and inspiring place to reconnect with yourself and nature, our finca might be what you're looking for.

Nestled in the hills of northern Spain, I’m building a place where people can slow down, enjoy simple things, and be part of something that is still in progress.

Volunteers help take care of the land — olive and almond trees, herbs, and the vegetable garden — and support practical or small creative projects around the finca.

In return, I offer space to rest, reflect, and be part of daily life here. Whether you're into nature, sustainability, or simply stepping out of your usual routine, there is something here for you.

We welcome people who value calm, clarity, and kindness. No rush, no pressure — but also not a holiday. We live here, we work here, and we share that together.

Hi! I’m Lisette — originally from the Netherlands, now living on this finca in northern Spain with my two teenage sons.

Life here is a mix of nature, creativity, motherhood, and building something step by step.

You’ll mostly interact with me, but you will naturally share space with my sons as well, since this is our home.

We are open and friendly, but we also value space — for ourselves and for you.

Volunteers are treated with warmth, clarity, and respect. I expect the same in return.

The rhythm of life here follows the seasons and the weather. In summer, that often means early mornings or later in the day to avoid the heat.

This is a calm place. No nightlife, no constant activity — just daily life on a finca.

Lisette has been very kind; her home is super cozy and lovely! I felt so welcome thanks to her super friendly animals, her children, and her friends! Thanks for everything, Lisette—best of luck.
I just wanted to clarify that I arrived on the 3rd and left on the 6th. I ultimately decided to cut my stay short due to an issue with the electricity, which left us without power in the countryside. I appreciate the experience and the time shared nonetheless.

I had a great stay with Lisette. She is a warm, welcoming host and we shared many conversations.
The work was fair & rewarding. I learned how to prune olive & almond trees-a new experience for me. On my days off she showed me around the area and introduced me to her friends and involved me in community events.
At times, the atmosphere was uncomfortable due to family conflict with her teenage sons, but Lisette did her best to manage this. Also, sharing space with an older woman is hard on teenagers.
Overall, I had a positive experience & recommend it if you wish to spend time in rural Spain

Thanks for your honest review! Living with 2 teenagers is not always easy, at least not in our household. Despite that, I do my best to make every volunteer feel welcome and well taken care of. I genuinely hope you felt that too, alongside the local experiences, conversations and time we shared together. 😊

. . . the farm is a great place to relax and to be in touch with nature ! . . . The property is in a rural and quiet area and it is a place for you to learn about growing olives and fruits .... Lisette is a kind, caring and considerate and open host and I am happy for all the interesting conversations we had. Thank you Lisette for having me there and letting me be part of the family, hehe !

Thank you very much for your positive review! It was absolutely a pleasure having you here. And I would not have succeeded so well, if you were not there at the event in Maella. You were a great help. Thanks again for everything!

My first experience with Worldpackers, and a very strong one at that. During my stay, I helped out around the house mainly focusing on painting. Since I came during off-season I didn't do any harvesting, though I did get the opportunity to try Lisette's delicious olive oil.

Some fond memories include meeting the neighbors, visiting town, hiking, walking her lovely dogs, swimming in a local river with the boys, and watching World Cup matches. There can be conflict amongst family members, but Lisette and her children made me feel extremely welcome in their home from day one. Highly recommended!
