Finca Nadu y amigos
The shelter is in the East Part of the Island. It is a restful place.
People who like climbing, hiking and restful beaches are here
normally as tourists. There are only rural houses and little turística accommodations.
There are busservices nearly every 2 hours direction Granadilla and Guimar.
For us, the volunteers are really important people. Thanks to them, about 100 different type of animals become quality of live. The responsable of the shelter is Belgium, so talks also French, Dutch, English.
We listen to ideas from our international team. Really lovely.

Spent 15 days at the finca with Myrna and Paco and it was wonderful :) The tasks are simple and quick, and afterward there's always time to head down to the beach, grab a coffee, or catch a bus and visit the island. The work they do is amazing, and you can tell they love their animals. As Myrna said, the finca belongs to the dogs and we are their guests, for we live with them at all times, sometimes they even sleep with us in the room! They are all very cheerful and friendly, I will miss them a lot, especially Chocolata and Champancita <3

From the first day we arrived, Ann treated us with a lot of respect. She offered to take us to the beach and to Teide (although we couldn't go) as long as we did our job well. The shelter is a place that needs a lot of help, since the area where the volunteers sleep is in the same space where the dogs sleep, which means it won't be clean. The problem upon arrival was that the motorhome was quite dirty and during our stay the food was quite scarce and we had to feed ourselves. Despite this, we recommend this very beautiful experience.

I spent 8 days with Myrna and Paco; it's my first volunteering away from home, and honestly I couldn't have chosen better.
Myrna is always attentive to all the animals and the volunteers, checking if we were comfortable, if we needed anything; she was always there.
A family with a big heart; I was very happy to have met her and all her furry family.
Thank you for all the work you do for the animals.

Myrna and Paco live an amazing life and do a lot for dogs and cats. The home they share is a home for everyone!!!

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Anne lives for the animals, but I had to leave early because I believe that minimum hygiene standards were not being met.
Everything was quite dirty, which can be normal in a shelter, the thing is that where we ate and slept wasn't separated from the shelter itself and it wasn't comfortable at all.
Still, I wanted to thank Anne for treating me so well those days.

Hello, we understand that when you leave your comfort zone there is sometimes a moment of shock, and even more so when arriving at a shelter where there is an effort to socialize abandoned dogs to live together with humans. That is why adopted dogs leave happily with their owner. The sleeping area problem could have been discussed with Anne, and an attempt could have been made to find a solution.
