Finca Nadu y amigos

The shelter is in the East Part of the Island. It is a restful place.
People who like climbing, hiking and restful beaches are here
normally as tourists. There are only rural houses and little turística accommodations.
There are busservices nearly every 2 hours direction Granadilla and Guimar.

For us, the volunteers are really important people. Thanks to them, about 100 different type of animals become quality of live. The responsable of the shelter is Belgium, so talks also French, Dutch, English. We listen to ideas from our international team. Really lovely.

Ha sido mi primer voluntario y no puedo estar más agradecida con mis anfitriones Mirna y Paco, son unas personas buenas de corazón. Recomiendo preguntar dudas. Ellos hacen la labor de recoger animales abandonados por algún tipo de desdicha y necesitan ayuda para sus cuidados. El trabajo es muy ameno y bonito estuve en contacto directo con los animalitos, limpiando sus lugares, dándole de comer y cuidando el entorno donde viven. La habitación era cómoda y con todo lo que pude necesitar y si no Mirna se encargaba que no faltara de nada ( es súper atenta). Volveré familia 🩵❤️

I volunteered at the shelter with Anne for one month and it was really an experience of a lifetime, something I will remember forever! The animals, dogs, cats, horses, will forever stay with me🥰
The work is 4 hours per day 8:30-12:30, mostly cleaning poop and feeding the animals. As we live with the dogs, it is clear that the place isn't very clean always.
Also without a car from there it's quite difficult to explore the island because the buses are rare and usually late.
If you love animals and want to make a change in their lives and give them love this place is for you, do it😊

Trabajar por el bienestar de los animales que Myrna y Paco han acogido en su CASA REFUGIO, como mi primer voluntariado, fue una experiencia que nunca voy a olvidar. Todos los perros y los gatos están llenos de amor y cada uno tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón. Gracias por haberme recibido a mí también y por el montón de momentos felices. Su habitación representó un HOGAR LEJOS DEL HOGAR. Uno de los instantes más preciosos para mí fue la comida juntos, porque además de comer súper bien y reír mucho, constituyó un verdadero intercambio cultural. Esa fue solo la penúltima cena. ¡Nos vemos! 🌀

Estuve con Myrna y Paco.Tuve una habitación para mi, todos los animales que están allí son cariñosos y agradecidos, yo los voy a echar de menos aunque por la noche y la mañana ladran bastante(normal).Myrna durante el dia está bastante ocupada pero se entrega mucho para que veas la isla y llevarte con ella siempre que pueda.
Ellos son muy abiertos y te escuchan.Para mejorar diría que pasamos bastante hambre.Hubo un dia que nos dejó en la montaña a las 11 de la mañana y hasta las 19 no llegamos a casa y solo llevabamos fruta,comimos porque un señor de allí nos dió, y como esta más cosas.

Puse 4 estrellas a Mireya, porque no la quieria herir. No me importa que ella pone 2 estrellas, es algo típico de ella. No voy a comentar más nada, porque lo de la caminata con hambre es porque ella no era capaz hacer un picnic en condiciones, aquí en la cocina hay de todo. Hasta una plancha que por ser despistada no la apagó , y si uno no se da cuenta se pega fuego la casa... Así, siento mucho que pasó, y espero que ha aprendido algo de su primer voluntariado, tuvo que haber eligió otro lugar.

I stayed for a few days at Anne Finca. She is doing an important work to save the lives of many dogs and other animals such as cats or horses that have been abandoned or mistreated. She is nice and there are 80 dogs in the finca and the main task is to keep the spaces clean and comfortable for the animals. The problem for me was that dogs were everywhere, even in the bathroom and some of them are aggressive. You cannot leave the property after 10pm and dogs will bark at you every time that you enter the property. I didn’t feel free and the noise and dirt were a little bit excessive for me.

Hi, sorry for the bathroom problem, but sometimes the people don t close after leaving, and of course the place is cool and confortable, the animals like to be there. Thanks for the help you gave us.
