Gili Pirates Dive & Social Hostel
Welcome to Gili Trawangan – a tiny tropical island where life moves a little slower, sunsets are unforgettable and every day feels like a new adventure. Whether you’re diving with sea turtles, cycling around the island, watching the sunset on the beach or dancing the night away, Gili T has a unique energy that makes people want to stay longer than they planned.
Gili T is known as a party island and that's why drinking and nightlife culture are big factors here. We’re a small, family-style hostel right in the heart of the island. Unlike many of the larger party hostels, we focus on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone quickly gets to know each other. We believe the best memories are made with great people. That’s why community is at the centre of everything we do.
Backpackers staying with us don’t just share a room – they share dinners, boat trips & parties, diving experiences and UNFORGETTABLE nights out!
If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay and want to become part of a fun, warm and international family while experiencing everything this incredible island has to offer, we’d love to welcome you at our hostel.
My mission as a manager will always be that everyone coming here - no matter if guest or volunteer - has a good time. That's why next to my other tasks I am also showing up everyday myself, doing basically the same as my volunteers - having a good time with everyone, being social around the hostel, joining activities & having drinks with you for a night out. Next to us we have our lovely local staff team, that is always down for some good laughter aswell.
As a volunteer you will be representing the hostel & you will be leading all our social activities like sunset cruises, boat parties, family dinners, trivia & olympics nights, that means you will be the heart of cultural exchange. You will meet new people everyday, make friends from all over the world & have a team behind you (including me) that just tries to have a good time themselves. So: While being deeply connected to the local culture as we are living here, you still meet people from all over the world on top - No other way then leaving this island as a friend with tears rolling down our faces!
