Haus Königssee
Working at Haus Königssee means sharing a bit of our life with us! Work with us, but also eat, play, laugh, tell stories, hike, sometimes watch a movie or play cards. There is always enough time for your own activities!
Our team (about 12 female staff members) has already worked with many volunteers from all over the world in recent years. The atmosphere is good, we laugh a lot and enjoy working together. The female staff look forward to having people from other countries with us and treat the volunteers in an open and respectful way.

Coming to Daniela's seminar house was truly a joy. She was so welcoming and accommodating of my partner and I. Each day we fed the chickens, ate delicious meals together, and the schedule was relaxed. She gave us flexibility with our days and showed us around the area. It truly felt like home while we were there. We got to experience so many fun groups and even learn some German! Would 100% recommend this opportunity for anyone wanting to have a slow life and enjoy learning about German culture.

Volunteering at the Center was a highlight of our travels. The guest house is an incredible space where we met different groups staying there such as clarinet players, singer/songwriters, and a therapy group. The work varied from day to day but was fun and relaxed (like feeding the chickens and helping in the garden). Daniela and her husband Helmut are incredible people, and it is inspiring to learn about the sustainability that is practiced in every aspect. Plus the food is amazing! There is public transportation and Daniela showed us around. We are so grateful to have stayed here!

Daniela is such an amazing host!! She made me feel at home within her family and really helped me to learn and immerse myself in German culture. Her conference house receives the coolest groups of musicians, teachers, yoga and health retreats, her team is full of the sweetest locals. It's a side of life that you don't tend to see often when travelling.
Hours were respected and the pace was relaxed. The food is amazing, even when it's left overs. Tasked were varied from kitchen work, housework and gardening. There are also chickens and an adorable cat to care for. 10/10 and would come back!

The Center is a wonderful place to volunteer at. I would highly recommend it to any committed traveler. I worked outside in the garden/with chickens or inside helping with usual guesthouse operations and laundry. Daniela is beyond sweet, welcoming, and accommodating. The room I stayed in was cozy, the food is delicious, the other staff members are so kind, the work was reasonable, and the location is perfect. I learnt so many skills and I got to see and experience so much of Germany that I likely wouldn't have otherwise. I owe it all to the wonderful opportunity I had working here! 💛
