From the moment I arrived the people there made me fell so welcome and existed about being a part of the team. The work you are asked to do is easy and varies so it doesn't get boring :). It's also super fun to work together with the other volunteers and staff. The hostel is in a small town, close to the beach. There are also events every evening in town you can go to. I definitely had a great time meeting new people and learning new things. Definitely would recommend volunteering there!

If you are lucky enough to get offered a spot here take it immediately. I cannot emphasize how amazing an atmosphere the hostel/ town is. It is relatively isolated and is a small town community. Within the hostel you will make tons of friends both who work there, live in Arrifana and others who are just passing through. There are events somewhere almost every night, surfing and sun everyday and you won't get bogged down by tedious workloads. In fact, working with the other volunteers and employees makes the light load fly past with a smile on your face and big reggae tunes in the background :)

I would 100% recommend this place, everyone is just so kind and they really make you feel welcome and at home. The hostel is in the perfect spot, just 5 minutes away from the beach. Also, the tasks are pretty easy and they always try to accomodate you if you need something. I will miss this place so much, thank you for the best month!

I had an awesome experience here at HI arrifana and would totally recommend this stay to others! Along a costal hiking trail and near a beautiful surfing beach the hostel clientele are fun and easy going! The staff are a great group and as an english speaker I didn’t have many problems. Over all it was a beautiful place with beautiful people and I would love to go back one day, a month was not long enough!!
