A volunteer who comes and stays with us could benefit both of a cosy, family atmosphere and also plenty of opportunities to get to know the city, the culture, the language and anything else he might be interested in about Belgium. Having lived here for 14 years , I could offer some good advice about visits, cheap market places, day trips etc.
Being a travel and languages enthusiast myself, I think it will be beneficial for both our family and the volunteer to exchange elements of our cultures and to interact not only through scheduled activities with the children but also on the volunteer's free time, which will be valued and highly respected.

It was more than an experience for me! I had wonderful time here. Ioanna and Sakis were always helpful and supportive since the first day. I genuinely felt like a part of their daily life, we shared memories, we laughed, and I felt lucky to be here at this part of my life. Totally recommended for everyone!

Ionna is the best! So cool, you can talk about anything with her, she is organized and she cooks very well. From the first day she made me feel at home! Leonidas and Aquilleas are two fabulous, energetic, well-behaved and sweet boys. It was my first experience babysitting and I left with a wonderful experience! I miss them already! Thank you! ♥️

I had an amazing experience here! This was my first volunteering experience and I loved it so much that I applied twice.
Ioanna is an incredible host. She communicates very well and is always there when you need help. She also gives great recommendations on places to visit in Belgium.
The kids are super curious and ask lots of questions. You find a nice balance between having fun, playing with them, and giving them attention.
I got along really well with the other volunteers and the atmosphere felt like home. Plus, Ioanna cooks delicious food! :)

I really enjoyed my month here! Ioanna is a fantastic host, she is direct and straightforward in her communication, which I truly appreciated because it made everything run smoothly. She's always ready to find solutions and to meet us volunteers halfway when it's possible.
I made wonderful friends with the other volunteers and the warm atmosphere made me feel at home.
Regarding the tasks, having a bit of childcare experience definitely helps. With the kids is all about striking the right balance between being fun and engaging while maintaining boundaries and earning their respect.
