I am from Minnesota. My husband and I came here in 1984 and built this home and 3 rental villas. My husband was an architect designed and built our home here.

We spent winters in St. John and summers up in Lake Superior. During summer in Lake Superior we lived in the Wisconsin Apostle Islands. We had three homes, a bed-and-breakfast, jewelry store, and bicycle rental. To help us in the summer, we had college students through Camp America from England, Poland, and Russia. We always had a lot to do and it was always fun having the college kids share their culture with us. Over the years, I have sold all my properties on Lake Superior and no longer go there. I now live on St. John year-round.

On St. John I am looking for help with the rental villas. I have three villas. My villas are small and easy to clean giving you the afternoon and evenings to explore St John.

My experience here was great. Jacqueline was a lovely host. Very kind, welcoming and flexible. This was my first WP, I spent 5 weeks and I'm glad that I did! She has a beautiful home and exploring the island was very fun. The tasks and hours were as expected, communication with Jacqueline was open and easy and I always felt that my opinions were heard and my efforts appreciated. Jacqueline ensured that I had what I needed to feel at home and be productive. I'm glad we connected and I'm thankful for the opportunity :)

I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time on St. John. The island is beautiful, with incredible beaches, hiking, and history. I enjoyed learning about the island and helping at the villa. However, my experience was mixed due to the environment. I arrived during an ongoing situation with another Worldpacker, and that dynamic carried over. At times, communication felt unclear and occasionally overly controlling, which made parts of the stay uncomfortable. I almost left twice. While I value the experience, I wouldn't return. Better suited for someone very adaptable.

“Thank you for bringing your experience to my attention. Your feedback is valuable and I apologize if you felt uncomfortable and wish you could have brought this to my attention while you were here so I could address it. I really appreciated your help and enjoyed having you here. Including shared meals and outings. On your last night, I took you out for a beautiful dinner to celebrate your time here, and we ended the evening with a big hug. I strive to provide a welcoming home for all my helpers
