Jarana

In 'Jarana' (which is the name of the project) you'll have a spacious place in nature, with horses, a dog and even a sheep!

The work ranges from sanding and painting to putting up fences, including garden cleaning (it's actually a mini jungle!) and in winter, chopping wood for the stove. We work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week and two days off.
In addition to the accommodation, you'll have breakfast and one meal on weekdays. The rest of the meals/snacks are on you.

The house is a little away from the city (10 minutes by car), but we usually go several times a week to buy materials or food. The nearest train station is 25 minutes' walk away. You can look it up on Google; it's called PICAMOIXONS - LA PLANA.

The work is physical (it's not customer service, nor babysitting). It's about remodeling an old building and there are tasks for everyone who comes with energy!

The work in the house is nourished by the contribution of each of the volunteers, so if you have any knowledge, we would love for you to share it (carpentry, construction, electricity, plumbing, etc).

The cleaning tasks for the shared area and kitchen are carried out among all of us who are at Jarana. We organize to do a general cleaning during the week, outside volunteer hours, since they are dynamics of coexistence.

In the house there is wifi, a washing machine and many areas to rest, both outside and inside the house.

My experience in Jarana was exactly what I needed as an escape from the city, while being able to support the community. Laila is one of the most inspiring and courageous people I have met; I hope she continues to grow and prosper in her life.
