La Cruz Verde

Volunteers will gain valuable insights into the needs and specialized care of various local wildlife species, including nutrition and suitable living conditions in a natural environment. They will also engage in the complex processes of rehabilitating and relocating rescued animals back into their habitats. Additionally, veterinary care at our animal clinic plays a crucial role in our wildlife conservation efforts.

While our work with wildlife is a vital part of our mission, volunteers will also engage in enriching cultural exchanges with local indigenous communities. This close contact provides a unique perspective on a way of life that emphasizes foraging and harvesting the diverse "fruits" and resources offered by the Amazon rainforest.

Engaging in construction projects using local materials and basic tools is an excellent way to enhance creativity and manual skills. Working with the jungle’s flora also offers invaluable knowledge about edible, medicinal, and craft-worthy plants. Additionally, through the contributions of our volunteers, we establish a Health Fund, providing vital support to community members in times of emergency, accidents, and illness.

Once the school location is established, we will offer a variety of educational courses, including language classes in Tacana and English, as well as math and environmental education. These classes will be conducted by skilled local teachers and supported by volunteers, ensuring a rich learning experience for all.

At La Cruz Verde, we are a passionate team dedicated to our work, deeply respecting the forest and every form of life within it. Joining us in the Bolivian Jungle promises an unforgettable experience as you immerse yourself in our commitment to conservation and community.

Incredible experience! We learned a lot about the jungle and the rehabilitation process of wild animals. The team taught us a lot and was always very kind to us. We would have loved to stay longer than two weeks; to be honest, we will be back!!! Thank you very much 😊

This volunteering is exceptional, with attentive listening, the actions are well coordinated, an amazing, enthusiastic, available, and responsible team. I won't forget these two weeks of encounters with the monkeys, thanks for the knowledge, exchanges, games and shared laughter, long live the project.

The most important thing that you have to know about this place is that, its amazing, its amazing but maybe not for everyone.. you have to be aware that you're not gonna have fun in the jungle, no you're gonna have fun in the jungle but don't forget the mosquitos, the mud, the snakes, the spiders, the eavy rain, the heat… then if you're ready for all of that, remember that there is no electricity, no services and that most of the meel are vegetarian. i had the best time there i stayed 3 weeks and being disconected like that was what i needed, the work is amazing and always différent !

What a place... U dont really need the electricity. Food is vegeterian but u have a day or two off to meet your meat needs. Staff is down to earth and u can get everything sorted without needless issues. The animal experience tops anything u have ever done - if u can survive tge jungle then try it. U arent a guest - u are part of the animal pack. Mosquitoes, humidity, bees flying in your ears, rain, slippery slopes, mud, rashes, bites ... its normal here. 4 weeks went like a breeze

Michael stayed with us for about a month and was a real pleasure to host. He is kind, respectful, and very hardworking. He showed great commitment, adapted quickly to jungle life, and always helped with a positive attitude.
Juanito and the team agree that Michael was excellent , proactive, and supportive. We truly appreciate his contribution and would gladly recommend him to future hosts. Michael is always welcome back.

Had an amazing time volunteering here. I loved spending times with all the animals, especially the baby monkeys. The team are very passionate about supporting the monkeys and other animals. The living conditions are as you would expect in the jungle without access to electricity but I think this adds to the experience! I think there could be better briefing and clearer communication on how to interact with the monkeys because after all they are wild animals. Sometimes there are different instructions given by each member of the team which can be confusing. Over all would recommend :)
