Le Ti'chasne

Chasnay is a lovely commune in the Nièvre department of central France.
Here you can learn french, visit wine caves, and share nice moments! Life is peaceful and you won't have busy or stressful days. :)
The walking around our house is wonderful and you can get to Paris in 2 hours by train.
You may also have a pleasant walk around our village, rent bicycles to ride along the Loire, and rent kayaks in a rage of 15km.

You will be very well treated for sure and the food is good and healthy!! Anyway, we are two kind persons, you will certainly feel confortable with us.

Thanks to Sylou, this project became one of my best experiences. From the start, I felt completely at home.

Thank you for sharing so many recipes and guiding me through each step. Your patience in correcting my French meant a lot to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I had a great experience at Le Ti'chasne. Sylou and her husband were both lovely and welcoming. I got to improvd my French and learn some new recipes! The accommodation was great and the food was delicious. The village is a bit isolated, so if you're looking to relax and you like walks, it's perfect. If you have hospo experience, it would be helpful, but the work is straightforward enough, and you aren't left alone. Keep in mind that sometimes it does get pretty busy and in the off-season there may be less Worldpackers around. Highly recommend, I had a fantastic time. Thanks again, Sylou! 💕

This was a wonderful experience! I learnt so much working with Sylou at Le Ti’Chasne; not only did I improve my French, but Sylou taught me how to make some of the dishes (recipes I will use again and again), and guided me in the ways of a restaurant. Some days the hours will be long with both lunch and dinner services, even in September. I would recommend having prior experience in hospitality, it definitely helped me! The restaurant is located in a small village surrounded by fields and forests, it’s beautiful and perfect for walking, for those looking for some calm. Merci Sylou!!!

I had a great time volunteering in le Ti’Chasne. Sylou is simply the best host, she spoiled us with the most delicious meals and went out of her way to make us feel at home🥰 i also got the chance to improve my French with her and the locals

The work could be a bit tiring sometimes as I was there during the busiest season, but I was lucky enough to have the best team I could’ve ever asked for💝 so it was not a problem for me:) and on top of that you get the chance to learn so many new things and new recipes! Thank you so much sylou for the amazing experience🫶🫶🫶

It was a unique experience. Sylou is an incredible woman, with an enormous heart, who made sure that my stay was unforgettable. She was always attentive of our needs and preferences, we had great conversations with her and she felt like a mom to us.
The work can be heavy some days, however there’s a great communication regarding expectations and also a great team work, which makes everything very rewarding at the end.
I highly recommend this experience to anyone. It was an incredible month for me, in which I learned many new things and met amazing people. I’m really gonna miss you Sylou❤️
