Le Ti'chasne
Chasnay is a lovely commune in the Nièvre department of central France.
Here you can learn french, visit wine caves, and share nice moments! Life is peaceful and you won't have busy or stressful days. :)
The walking around our house is wonderful and you can get to Paris in 2 hours by train.
You may also have a pleasant walk around our village, rent bicycles to ride along the Loire, and rent kayaks in a rage of 15km.
You will be very well treated for sure and the food is good and healthy!! Anyway, we are two kind persons, you will certainly feel confortable with us.

I loved my time at the restaurant. Sylou is an incredible person and chef, I got to practice my French, talk to the customers, learn new cooking skills and eat delicious meals that Sylou made for us. She has clear rules that make it easier to know how to actually be helpful around the kitchen and I also enjoyed our chats before and after service. I would recommend it for anyone that wants to experience the French countryside and to connect with nature since there are trails for walking or riding a bike.

The restaurant offers quality, home cooked meals with artistic flair. There is a lot to learn quickly. Travelers need to have some athletic ability. The job is physically demanding. I was glad I had my bicycle so that I could explore the countryside and nearby villages.

I had an extremely welcoming and immersive experience at the host, Sylou was a wonderful host who was very generous in every respect. We had delicious meals and lots of ingredients to cook with too! I found it really useful to practice my French through working in the kitchen, serving customers and behind the bar, some nights were more busy and hands on than others, to be expected in hospitality work. The location is remote and quiet, so perfect for walks and reading :) I am so grateful for such a learning experience, it was amazing to work alongside Sylou!! Thank you :)

Spending our time with Sylou was one of the best experiences on our trip through Europe. She is an incredible, funny woman and above all a good person willing to share experiences and her knowledge of cooking and life.
The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious, and therefore the customers are friendly.
