Luce Sul Lago

Meaningful contribution: Volunteers help build a regenerative retreat space—using carpentry, plumbing, and construction skills to create something lasting and purposeful.

Cultural exchange: Daily life includes Italian, French, and English conversations, shared meals, and stories from around the world. It’s a chance to connect deeply across cultures.

Nature immersion: Nestled near Lago di Nemi, the property offers forest hikes, lake views, and a peaceful environment perfect for reflection and relaxation.

Comfort & community: Volunteers stay in a spacious house with a big garden, enjoy cozy evenings by the fireplace, and share responsibilities in a respectful, collaborative way.

Creative downtime: Whether it’s playing guitar or piano, reading by the pool, or exploring nearby towns by bike, there’s plenty of space to recharge and be inspired.

As equals: You’ll share responsibilities with Leo and Laura, from daily chores to creative decisions. Everyone contributes, and everyone’s voice matters.

The project is a wonderful place. It's the perfect getaway for anyone looking to connect with nature, peaceful times and to learn some local history. Nemi it's 10 minutes away and a really beautiful place to visit. The work matched what we'd agreed on and was flexible. The area was very clean, and the workload its easy. Leo was incredibly understanding and accommodating. He welcomed feedback and had such a warm, positive attitude. I can't recommend this enough—it's a dream for nature lovers!

I had a great time at the project lu sago! It was so beautifull there. The cat wadi was really nice, and the guest everyday also. The only thing that I would say that it was not as expected, because i didnt sleep in the house of the pictures, And the thing like the discounts on restaurants, yoga classes , surf classes and free drinks weren't there but it was still very great, and I would recommend it. :)

I recently returned to the project for a second stay. The property is about 1.5km from the small town of Nemi. In this town there are a few bars and restaurants. It is about 20-30 minutes walk to the lake (down a fairly steep hill) making summer a great time to visit and go for a swim. The town of Genzano can be reached by bus or by foot. (4km, about an hour walk) This is a fairly large town that will have most anything you need. Getting to Rome can be quite tricky so keep that in mind.

Leo was the best, he told us a lot about the area that we were volunteering at and its history. He also was very helpful and responded quickly whenever you needed him. The area where you volunteer is very clean and the work is not to demanding and the town called Nemi is about a 10 minute walk from the glamp. After you get finished with your daily tasks there is a lot of activities to do around the area as well. Overall I would recommend this opportunity to anyone. :)

Leo picked us up and told us so much amazing history about the area! was so kind and informative. amazing at communicating everything that was expected from us and had such a comfy space that made us feel right at home! made so many friends in the town nearby and had so much time to explore and really immerse ourselves in the culture, definitely a life changing experience for the both of us. I would highly recommend to couples, friends or even solo travelers. :) Thank you to Leo again for the opportunity
