I recently returned to the project for a second stay. The property is about 1.5km from the small town of Nemi. In this town there are a few bars and restaurants. It is about 20-30 minutes walk to the lake (down a fairly steep hill) making summer a great time to visit and go for a swim. The town of Genzano can be reached by bus or by foot. (4km, about an hour walk) This is a fairly large town that will have most anything you need. Getting to Rome can be quite tricky so keep that in mind.

Leo was the best, he told us a lot about the area that we were volunteering at and its history. He also was very helpful and responded quickly whenever you needed him. The area where you volunteer is very clean and the work is not to demanding and the town called Nemi is about a 10 minute walk from the glamp. After you get finished with your daily tasks there is a lot of activities to do around the area as well. Overall I would recommend this opportunity to anyone. :)

Leo picked us up and told us so much amazing history about the area! was so kind and informative. amazing at communicating everything that was expected from us and had such a comfy space that made us feel right at home! made so many friends in the town nearby and had so much time to explore and really immerse ourselves in the culture, definitely a life changing experience for the both of us. I would highly recommend to couples, friends or even solo travelers. :) Thank you to Leo again for the opportunity

Beautiful experience in a slice of paradise. Anywhere I chose to relax had a breathtaking view. Absolutely perfect experience for anyone looking for some time in nature. The history of the area is super cool too. The work was as agreed upon and flexible too. Leo was very accommodating when I was sick for a couple days. He was open to feedback and had a very positive, welcoming spirit. Truly can't recommend this experience more! Gracious hosts in a natural wonderland. Be sure to try sitting on the terrace during sunset :)

Leonard and his wife are truly amazing people. This is an experience and ethos that they work to that is truly to help people and promote well-being and mental health, there truly wonderful people. The work it's self is varied and fair, the food is great! Lake Nemi and the village are just stunning, honestly I cannot recommend this place and these people enough.
