Hello, We are a hostel in San Diego! We are looking for friendly and fun volunteers for housekeeping and reception shifts. If you're an international traveler temporarily in San Diego for 1-3 months and have a plan to continue your onward overseas travel, we would be very happy to meet you. We love having volunteers from all over the world who enjoy sharing their culture and learning ours! We offer part time volunteer positions in exchange for your accommodation. If you are just staying for a month you will most likely be asked to do housekeeping duties. Longer stays may be trained on reception. Hope to hear from you soon!
Volunteers help 21 hours per week, which we normally spread over 4 - 5 days. Our guests and volunteers come from all over the world. We organize many social events and have large common spaces where everyone can meet and share their cultures helping one another to better understand our differences and celebrate them. Ideas are shared from which we can all learn and grow from.
I had a great time during my stay at Lucky D’s! Wonderful hostel filled with amazing people. Great location, beautiful and clean hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. Managers, staff, and guests all feel like one big family. Would recommend to anybody looking to come stay in San Diego.

Espero volver pronto!!!

I had fun during my stay here , made some friends. It’s very close to gaslamp , balboa park , little italy .
They have common room which is air-conditioned and has a large screen TV.
They have a little library on the third floor where I spent a good part of my time there.
I would definitely recommend if you want to have fun, meet interesting travelers and explore San Diego.
The only thing I would change is the way new housekeepers are trained.
