Lucky D's Hostel

Hello, We are a hostel in San Diego! We are looking for friendly and fun volunteers for housekeeping and reception shifts. If you're an international traveler temporarily in San Diego for 1-3 months and have a plan to continue your onward overseas travel, we would be very happy to meet you. We love having volunteers from all over the world who enjoy sharing their culture and learning ours! We offer part time volunteer positions in exchange for your accommodation. If you are just staying for a month you will most likely be asked to do housekeeping duties. Longer stays may be trained on reception. Hope to hear from you soon!

Volunteers help 21 hours per week, which we normally spread over 4 - 5 days. Our guests and volunteers come from all over the world. We organize many social events and have large common spaces where everyone can meet and share their cultures helping one another to better understand our differences and celebrate them. Ideas are shared from which we can all learn and grow from.

This was my first experience volunteering at a hostel and it couldn\'t be better. The managers are flexible and great people. The tasks are fair and we have a lot of free time to enjoy the city. The staff is amazing. We always meet new people. The place is a little noisy, but I think this is part of the hostel life. For me it was a great experience and I would do everything again for sure.

Lucky D’s is one of the most amazing places that I’ve ever been in my life!
Since the beginning, everyone made me feel like I was at home, and since that, I had the chance of joining a huge family.
The hostel have a great location in San Diego, work hours are also flexible and everyone is up to help you.
I am truly grateful for this whole experience and I hope that everyone could live something like this someday! :)
