Lucy Education Center

Choosing to volunteer with us is more than just trading hours for a place to stay—it is an opportunity to make a lasting impact while growing both personally and professionally.

First, you will be part of a purpose-driven educational community. If you help us with English training, you’ll see firsthand how your presence transforms our students' confidence, helping working professionals and young learners unlock global opportunities. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch your daily conversations change someone's future.

Second, we offer a true 'home away from home' experience. We don't treat you like temporary staff; you are family. You will immerse yourself in authentic local culture, taste genuine homemade dishes, and exchange perspectives with a team that values your creativity. We encourage you to bring your own ideas, games, and cultural stories into our activities.

Lastly, we respect your time. Our schedule is structured yet flexible, ensuring you have ample time to rest, explore the local sights, or work on your own projects. If you are looking for a meaningful journey where you can inspire others, learn new skills, and find a warm community, our place is exactly where you belong

I am a passionate educator and curriculum designer who loves connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Running an educational center isn't just a job for me; it’s a mission to inspire local learners and bridge cultural gaps. As a host, I am open-minded, supportive, and always eager to learn about your world while sharing the best of my culture with you.

Our staff is a team of dynamic, young, and friendly local teachers and assistants. They are incredibly welcoming, energetic. They are always excited to collaborate with volunteers on creative classroom activities, games, or cultural exchange projects.

My experience at the school was amazing! I would do it all over again and highly recommend it. Clara and her family will welcome you with open arms and always help you feel at home. Besides regular lessons, the school organizes many activities, so there's never a dull moment! The students will warm your heart, and the manageable workload leaves time to explore authentic Vietnamese life and amazing places. A bicycle is available for you to go around and the center is a one hour bus ride away. I met wonderful people and made unforgettable memories. I only wish I could stay longer!♥

This was such a lovely and memorable experience! Clara is genuinely one of the kindest hosts I've ever met, always going above and beyond to help. Her family was so welcoming, and I got to experience authentic local life without anything sugarcoated. For teachers looking to refresh their skills or anyone wanting hands on teaching experience, this place is perfect. Even though it's a little far from downtown, Clara always made sure I was comfortable and gave me rides to the bus station. Thank you, Clara, from the bottom of my heart 🩵💙

I have mixed feelings. Clara's family is amazing and treated me like family; I got really attached to the kids. However, the village is isolated and you need a bike for everything. I was only told about a $100 deposit and rules after arriving. Regarding work, I applied for social media but spent 80% teaching. It was hard to adapt because schedules were sent last minute, sometimes 30 min before class. I was told 3-4h of work, but it didn't count the preparation, making it difficult to balance with my online job. I loved the family and the kids, but not how the program is organized.

This was my first volunteering experience through Worldpackers, and I'm truly grateful for this opportunity. Clara and her family welcomed me with so much support, kindness, and care. Clara helped me a lot throughout my stay, and I honestly don't know how to repay her kindness. She will always be remembered as one of the kindest and most wonderful people I've ever met. Thank you for guiding me and showing me how to become a competent teacher, which is something I truly needed as I work towards building my future career in teaching. Cảm ơn! ❤️

I just left the school I stayed there 5 weeks, arriving during Tet It was an amazing experience, I could not feel more local experience than this It was facilitated by Clara and her family who are really welcoming I had the chance to be able to be extremely independent which was perfect for me during that time. The school is in the countryside, you can take a bycicle to wander around, go to a cafe to the village nearby and focus on your projects and relax Clara is really understanding of situations and always tries to make everything well for everyone. I wish to come back !!
