Madre Hija
Our site is located in the heart of the Mata Atlântica forest. Our main spiritual practice is Temaskal, a ceremony to reconnect with the womb of Mother Earth. In addition, we offer as part of the experience for volunteers who feel open to other integrative therapies such as Ayahuasca, Rapé and Sananga. We live holistically in this sacred space.
If you are looking to reconnect with your inner nature through an immersive experience, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Regarding our experience here, we base it on the triad of body, mind, and spirit in balance.
Body: care for the Earth and natural nutrition
Mind: practices of silence for greater reconnection
Spirit: practices of meditation and purification through Temaskal
The aim is to look inside, not outside!
Hello, my name is Carol Ruiz, my heart and my roots have been on this property for more than 10 years. I am in the health field and in the last decade I have deepened my studies and experiences in ancestral therapies. I feel my calling is to share and guide people in this healing process, mainly through Temaskal.
We are expanding the work at the Madre Hija site and with that we saw the need for more people to extend our projects.
Currently our main demands are: construction, maintenance, garden, cleaning, organization, among others.
As for our routine, we usually start in the morning with breakfast preparation, earth care tasks and/or social media demands, we take a lunch break, in the afternoon we are free for personal demands, at sunset we meditate and perform spiritual rituals, and at the end of the day we gather for meals.
Here in our environment we have lodging for volunteers and we also have a camping area.
Here we are combining sustainability, non-destructive techniques with nature and taking care to preserve it even more! The most pleasant thing is to present people with something we have made with our own hands; yes, here we are committed to helping carry out every detail of the space with a lot of care.
