My experience at the Center was truely phenomenal. I had the great honor to participate in 2 retreats, held by a nepalese and a belgian monk. The retreats were very insightful and inspiring for me. We were taught about the Dharma and fundamental aspects of Buddhism. Having love and compassion for other people is something that really stuck with me. The team at the Center is hard working and it's beautiful to see how every volunteer deeply cares about the center. I made friendships and connections that last a lifetime and I'm already very excited to come back to the center to help. 🙏🏻

I had a really nice time at the Center! Everyone is really nice and respectful. I love the area and the big garden, its amazing. The facilities were great as well and I really enjoyed my time! This place does need a lot of work though so you can easily oversee the beauty that surrounds you because you're so busy with the work. The work was mostly simple and fun though and it was great working with the other volunteers as well! I stayed for a little over two weeks and would recommend that time as well. Definitely give it a visit :)

I really enjoyed my time at the peaceful the Center. It's a cozy place surrounded by beautiful nature and Colville is a cute and creative small town. There are good facilities and I especially enjoyed my time with the other volunteers :) During my stay there was a retreat, and volunteers were expected to attend many teachings and meditations. It was a special way to learn about Buddhism, though sometimes a bit intense for beginners. Outside the retrait, the center is quiet and calm, and I occasionally felt unsure about my tasks. But overall, a great experience I wouldn't want to miss.

Overall I had a great time at the meditation centre. I mainly did gardening work and removed weed from the flower beds. Occasionally, I was also given other tasks, such as cleaning the sanitary facilities. Together with the other volunteers I often went on trips to the nearby beaches. We also cooked together everyday. However, on one occasion we ran out of food, which was really disappointing. When there was a larger retreat and things got a bit busier, I sometimes felt a bit overlooked. It is definitly a good place to find peace and quiet.

My best volunteering experience so far and by far.
The place is so beautiful with great energies.
I got to stay in my own cozy little hut at the back of the garden which I enjoyed a lot.
Tasks would vary、from gardening、making flowers arrangements、lawn、laundry、making/cleaning the rooms for guests、painting、helping with retreat organisation...
I usually did more than 4h a day、by choice、because the tasks didn't feel like working、and the place is so nice it felt uplifting to be part of making it run.
Everyone was very nice、from manager、director and other volunteers.
A little heaven for the soul 🙏
