Nature Retreat
Our place is a peaceful countryside house surrounded by forest and open green spaces, 12km from Nis, Serbia.
This is a simple and relaxed place for people who enjoy quiet surroundings, cat lovers, outdoor projects and a slower pace of life.
Volunteers can help with gardening, mowing grass, property maintenance, feeding friendly cats and occasional DIY projects. In return, they can spend time outdoors, enjoy beautiful views and peaceful surroundings, and slow down from the fast pace of everyday life.
I am the owner of a family countryside property near Niš. This is a small and personal project, not a commercial busines
I believe in mutual respect, honesty and flexibility. Volunteers are treated as guests and collaborators, not as employee.
The atmosphere is relaxed and independent. I understand that every traveler has different skills, interests and energy levels, so communication is open and expectations are realistic.
My goal is to create a comfortable environment where people can contribute, learn practical skills, enjoy nature and feel welcome.

In Sandra, we found not only a kind host but also a friend. She's an inspiration for how to transform a house into a yoga the lodge on a shoestring budget. She's also a very caring owner of five cats. The house has all the basic amenities and a beautiful mountain view. We wish this project success with all our hearts.

Your energy is warm, curious, easygoing, the kind that makes a house feel lighter just by being in it. I loved our conversations and how naturally you fit into the rhythm of this place. I had such a wonderful experience here! Sandra is a very kind and generous human being!! She made me feel so comfortable being in her home, for my duties I worked on photography and what she do for her social media presence. She is really working on something fantastic and it was great to be a part of it. She always wanted to make sure I was comfortable and went above and beyond the entire experience 10/10 would come back again. Thank you so much

I am so lucky to have come to Sandra's the lodge as my first volunteering experience on WP.
Sandra is literally an angel in human form. She is so nice that my stay here doesn't feel like volunteering, but more like a friend and a guest. So it means it is very flexible if you wonder about the working hours and workload. "It all depends on your mood (what and how long you want to work )", as she always said to me. This house is away from noisy city life. The closest grocery is 20 minutes walk which has almost everything you need. Come here to connect, with the lodge and yourself : )

I had an amazing experience, the house is surrounded by woods and the lodge it's very peaceful and beautiful. The host is very nice and welcome, it's nice having good conversations with her. I did some yard work and took care of her cat. Nearby is a village with a few store, many places to hike and a big city close by with a lot of different things. The only small problem is the water occasionally runs out for a few hours. I definitely recommend.
