Noor Horse Trek

This is an opportunity for horse enthusiasts to live and collaborate in one of the most iconic landscapes in the world. Positioned right between Lake Como and Lake Lecco, you will spend your days surrounded by pristine alpine peaks, lush green hills, and historic Italian trails. It is an outdoor lover’s absolute dream.

Beyond the scenery, the learning opportunities here are unmatched. You will be learning directly from competitive endurance riders and a professional veterinarian, giving you a masterclass in equine health and care, and breeding that you cannot find anywhere else. On your days off, you can swim in the lakes, hike the mountain trails, or explore the charming lakeside villages of Lombardy!

Our team is led by Martina and Riccardo, two deeply passionate equestrian professionals. Martina began riding at age eight, spent over a decade in show jumping, and now competes in national and international endurance races. Riccardo is a self-taught horseman who followed his dream to build a stable of 11 horses, covering over 6,000 km in endurance competitions. He is also a professional veterinarian, dedicated to the absolute well-being of our herd. 🐎

Volunteers can expect to be treated with immense warmth, respect, and inclusion. We view you as fellow horse lovers and valuable members of our family. We believe in clear communication, collaborative learning, and mutual trust. We are eager to share our specialized knowledge with you, guide you patiently through daily routines, and ensure you feel fully appreciated and supported throughout your stay!

Being completely transparent, Martina and Richard were very nice and welcoming when I got there. Showed me the place around and even invited me a pizza which I really appreciated. However, my working hours, schedule and tasks weren't clear the first 4 days which led to issues over simple miscommunication…Although I always tried to face this situations respectfully, I didn't always feel the same intention in return. The experience profile stated 25h/week and 2 days off, but when I arrived I was told it would be 7-8 hours a day, 1 full day off and 2 half days off which came up to about 40h/week

Thank you for your feedback. We acknowledge that the schedule provided could exceed the 25h originally indicated and we will adjust this. However, Santiago never told us he considered the hours excessive, nor asked to discuss or reduce them. Had he done so, we would have adjusted them immediately. Instead, he decided to leave without any prior discussion, informing us the same day while we were away. We respect his decision, but communication must work both ways.
