What an experience! Jane is a great host, who welcomes you into her home. She is generous with her time and knowledge around animal care, sustainable practices and more. She is a great cook and the food was delicious! The work is physical however after an adjustment period, is very manageable. The animals are beautiful and I miss seeing them everyday. This is a fabulous place to volunteer! Thank you again Jane 😊

Jane was an amazing host and staying at her farm was a great experience. Being my first Worldpackers I didn't really know what to expect but as soon as I arrived, Jane welcomed me into her home and overall I had a great time. The tasks were pretty managable, just keep in mind it is hard, physical work but soon you'll find your routine and get stuck into it nicely. I'll look back on my time fondly here as the animals are so cute, and I learned so much about sustainability. Canning and food prep was a great thing to learn about also. And you get to go horse riding! Thank you Jane for everything

I had a great stay a Janes. The house and the bedrooms were super comfortable, and the animals super cute. I learned so much about cooking, gardening, farming , sustainability and the culture. Jane always gives you the chance to make things by your own and never gets upset if things don’t work out directly. Tho you need to be aware that working on a farm ist physical, sometimes exhausting, work. But once you get used to it, you will find your routine. For me the stay was totally worth it and i will
keep it in mind :)

The first thing Jane told me when I entered the house was that her home was also my home. Which I could feel throughout the entire stay, so you feel at home and comfortable.
The work tasks were also manageable.
So would 100% percent recommend it to others. Especially if you love animals

I really enjoyed hosting Ronja! She is a great sunny girl with a zest for everything she does. She is willing and capable and pays attention to detail ensuring any task is well done. Ronja is very outgoing and is an asset to any host or organization. You are always welcome here Ronja, safe and fun travels.

This program is for people that are strong and willing to do hard work. Be aware that this location is very remote and you won’t see much of Canada. The farm and animals are cute and Jane can be nice personally. But when it comes to work, she changes. It was disappointing that Jane didn’t talk about the working hours/days off. In 4 weeks, I haven’t had a single day off. The private room that was promised was actually a room I had to share with the other volunteer. Jane has many rules and when you don’t do things her way she gets annoyed and I always felt like I was doing something wrong.

Malena was a great girl but not well prepared for physical work. ( not everyone is) and Malena chose not to take days off as she felt she had to help the other traveler. She could have taken off any days she wished as I am very flexible about this. I do hope the rest of her travels suited her better and that she enjoyed them.
