Pousada Atelier Aly da Costa

I am Aly, this is my home, my art studio and also a guesthouse! My proposal is to share life and my experience of about 30 years in Vale do Ribeira. Always working with traditional Caiçaras, quilombola, Indigenous communities and in the search for creating sustainable alternatives for the dignity of life and harmony with the environment. I aim with my space to share this experience with visitors; this is a place of renewal. I practice Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism and I strive to improve myself every day, I practice daily and I want to share this wonderful practice.

Harmony, peace, culture and education are the guiding lines of my home\'s proposal. We are in the middle of the largest continuous area of preserved Atlantic Forest, Lagamar is the cradle of the Atlantic and nature and exuberance are not lacking here.
I also have plenty of work!!! Haha, good opportunities to exchange lived experiences and still much to learn.
I lived more than 10 years "in the bush", actually it was in the "forest" and I had the opportunity to reinvent myself countless times.
I want to share my experience and make my house an even more delicious place with the collaboration of visitors who help keep it increasingly beautiful and well cared for.
If that\'s what you\'re looking for, come along and along the way I\'ll explain more!

I hope you feel like a member of the family. My parents live here, my sister too. Art, culture, ecotourism, education and the dignity of life guide our life proposal. Exchanges are the best ways to share life. A more just society is built with the heart! We have a lot of work here, however, there are grand opportunities for us to forge ourselves as more humane citizens and to be committed to one another. We are waiting for you like parents who miss their children! So, shall we exchange this good energy? I\'m waiting for you. Nam myoho renge kyo Aly da Costa

The place is nice, people are peaceful, the host is loving and cares about the guests. I found the job easy; in general it's just cleaning the place, fulfilling your hours, and the host always said that they could swap the services if I wanted. Great reception, I loved their project of planting 1000 trees per year, I loved the Buddhist temple, I loved the pool, the availability of giving rides to the city, I loved the city itself. I liked the team's dedication, positive and friendly people. The hostess is an amazing person with a huge purpose on Earth. The place welcomed me with open arms.

Aly's inn is a very special place. All of its facilities are very beautiful, it is a place of peace, to rest and connect internally. the inn is also unique, it is a woman very hardworking and very caring, you end up loving her a lot. The work team, Adriano, Paula and Leo are very lovely people, very funny, and very kind, I love them very much as well. In short, it is a team that feels more like a family, and with the passage of time, you feel one more. The cleaning work is calm, but there is always something to do. My first volunteering in Brazil and I am grateful for the opportunity.

The inn is a very clear and honest person. You can clear up all doubts with her and she will deliver what she promises and more. Great accommodation and location.

My time at the inn was very meaningful. I helped with breakfast setup, cleaning rooms, laundry, and maintaining the grounds. Adriano, Leo, Paula, the inn, and her parents were all incredibly kind and welcoming. The accommodation is simple, with shared bunk rooms and bathrooms. There are also unique opportunities like learning about Buddhism, the inn's art, and visiting nearby towns like Iguape and Jureia. My advice: clarify work days, hours, and tasks upfront for the best experience.
