We are a family-run inn that has been operating for over 30 years, located in front of the beach in a quiet, secluded cove with few inhabitants — Praia do Bananal. Come visit us and have amazing experiences.
Note: our inn is NOT located in Vila do Abraão.

Rafa and the whole family, as well as the staff at the inn, are sensational people, where I was treated with a lot of warmth and attention since the first contact. The meals are a show in themselves, hehe. The work continues as agreed and focuses on days when there are guests at the inn. Besides that, it's worth exploring the surrounding beaches by hiking, going to the viewpoint and taking some trips to farther places by boats. I'll miss everyone, big hug!!

My experience at the pousada was wonderful! The hosts of Japanese descent like my family were very attentive and welcoming and made me feel at home. The place is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by nature. I also had the opportunity to practice English quite a bit with foreign tourists, both with those staying at the pousada and those I met on the tours. It was a very special experience that I will cherish. I recommend!

It was my second volunteering trip and certainly the best!! Rafa, from the messages to the reception, was very attentive and caring; the room is very cozy, the food is SENSATIONAL, the inn wonderful, and the whole family made me feel at home!! Bananal Beach is wonderful, with a wonderful sunset, and a tranquility and peace without equal! I practiced other languages, I ate the best food in the world, I connected with nature and with very special people! Sueko, Noriko, Rafa, the inn, Tati, Damião, thank you for everything, I will miss you and I already want to come back 💖

The inn is located on Bananal Beach, a quiet spot on the trail that circles the island. The tasks are simple and correspond to the description. The meals are excellent, Brazilian and Japanese cuisine. The staff is pleasant and respectful. I would recommend bringing a very good mosquito repellent and protection against other forest insects. I was able to enjoy my days there visiting Freguesia, Lagoa Verde, Lagoa Azul, Lopez Méndez,... And I loved Debo Beach less than a five-minute walk away. I recommend.

Unfortunately the platform only allows ratings up to a maximum of 5 stars, not enough to describe the volunteering experience at the inn; the hosts were very honest and welcoming, they made me feel part of the Nakamashi family for the time I stayed there. All of that, not to mention the amazing Ilha Grande and, especially, the banana grove. Thank you very much 💛💛
